Why do so many Christians ignore Matthew 25 and the warnings of what will happen to those who did not watch for our Lord’s Return?

We started out with our friend Dr. Adrian Rogers who said our churches are giving little stories on Sunday morning instead of the Word of God and they don’t know what’s coming and I’ll tell you why. They are sound asleep and Revelation 3:15-17 pictures them. God says: “I know your works. You are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot I will spew you out of My mouth”. That’s the Greek word emeo, vomit. That’s how God feels about it. And they say: “because I’m rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing”. He said: “ thou knowest not that thou art wretched, poor, blind and naked” and that’s why they are not listening.
