Vietnam: 6-year-old Christian girl beaten into coma for faith in Jesus

September 4, 2019 — ChristianPost.com reports: “A 6-year-old Christian girl and her parents were brutally beaten and dragged out of their village in Northern Vietnam because of their conversion to Christianity, Open Doors UK reports.

The family of three was forced out of their home and dragged over rocks to the entrance of the village after sustaining beatings that left the young girl in a coma for a month.

Open Doors, an organization that serves persecuted Christians worldwide, said earlier this week that the 6-year-old girl has regained consciousness but doesn’t recall what happened to her and isn’t able to recognize her parents.

The family had stopped participating in their village’s practice of worshiping their ancestors and received Christ, which angered the villagers and local authorities.

Not long after, they were ‘mocked, tied with ropes and severely beaten while being dragged over rocky ground toward the entrance of the village, forcing them to leave,’ Open Doors reports.

Members of their church later transported them to a hospital where they were treated for three days.

Although they were allowed to return to the village after their pastor spoke with local authorities, the villagers continued to threaten and curse them on account of their newfound faith…” (If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.  But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.  If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.  He that hateth me hateth my Father also.  If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.  But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.  But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning” – John 15:18-27.)

12-year-old deaf girl beaten and abandoned by Hindu family still won’t renounce Christian faith

August 29, 2019 — ChristianToday.com reports: “A 12-year-old deaf girl in India has told Open Doors USA of how she was beaten by her father and brother before eventually being kicked out of the family home simply for attending church.

The girl named only as Saree told the charity that her family had taken her to hospitals, Hindu temples and even to people who practised witchcraft to find a cure her deafness, all without success.

She was 11 when she was first persuaded to go to church by her Christian aunt who told her that her Hindu family were ‘not believers in the true God’.

When she went to the church, she experienced an unexpected miracle.

‘The people were singing songs, and the preacher taught from the Word of God,’ she said.

‘I heard a little bit of sound, so I could understand a little of what was being said and sung. The songs made me happy.’…

Saree said that although she continued to attend the church in secret, her brother soon found out and she was beaten.

‘He and my father beat me and dragged me into the house,’ Saree said.

‘One time, I was carrying a Bible. He took it, threw it into the mud and beat me with a stick. Later I collected the Bible, wiped it clean and gave it to another believer. He kept it safe for me.

‘Almost every time I went to church, my brother and father beat me,’ she continued…” (“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death” – Revelation 2:10, 11.  Christians who suffer and die for Christ will receive the “Crown of Life” to place at the feet of Jesus – James 1:12; Revelation 2:10.  The 24 elders represent 12 Old Testament Tribes and 12 New Testament Apostles – saved Jews and redeemed Christians.  In Revelation 4: 10 & 11 they cast their earned crowns before the Lord Jesus Christ.  Question – Will you be among them?  See the next report.)

Bible translator killed in horrific attack by militants in Cameroon

August 30, 2019 — ChristianToday.com reports: “A Bible translator in Cameroon was butchered to death on Sunday morning during an overnight attack while his wife’s arm was cut off, according to a ministry source.

Bible translator Angus Abraham Fung was among seven people said to have been killed during an attack carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen sometime during the early hours of Sunday morning in the town of Wum, according to Efi Tembon, who leads a ministry called Oasis Network for Community Transformation…

‘They went into houses and pulled out the people,’ Tembon explained to The Christian Post. ‘They attacked in the night and nobody was expecting. They just went into the home, pulled them out and slaughtered them.’

Tembon said that he was not informed as to how many people were injured in the attack, but only that Fung’s wife, Eveline Fung, had her arm cut off and is receiving a blood transfusion at a local hospital.

As for the Bible translator, Tembon was told that Fung was cut to death with a machete…”
