NEWS FROM ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Raisi says Iran will target heart of Israel if it acts against Iranian nation

April 18, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran’s armed forces will target Israel’s heart if it makes ‘the slightest move’ against the Islamic Republic, President Ebrahim Raisi told a military parade on Monday, amid stalled talks between Tehran and world powers to revive a 2015 nuclear pact.

Israel, widely believed to have the Middle East’s only atomic arsenal, says it will not be bound by any Iran nuclear deal and could eventually take unilateral action against Iranian nuclear sites.

‘The Zionist regime (Israel), you should know that … if you take the slightest move against our nation, our armed forces will target the heart of the Zionist regime,’ Raisi said in a televised speech at a military parade to mark the National Army Day…”  (I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. – Psalm 121.

We believe that the second half of verse 1 should actually be a part of verse 2.  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills – possibly the Psalmist is looking up and seeing himself surrounded by enemies.  From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth – Israel’s help always has been and always will be from the Lord.  It has been said that every time Israel has been attacked by a militarily superior enemy – Israel gets a new national holiday.  Isaiah 56:5 states: “I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name that will not be cut off.  See the next three reports.)

Islamic Jihad leader: Full-fledged confrontation with Israel is possible

April 11, 2022 — Israel National News reports: “Ziad Al-Nahala, leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, does not rule out the possibility of a military confrontation with Israel.

In an interview with Hezbollah’s Al-Manar television channel, Nahala said that ‘the Palestinian resistance organizations will not neglect their duty to the residents of Jenin, Jerusalem and all of Palestine, and together they will make a decision regarding activity on the ground.’

Nahala noted that ‘at any moment, the situation among the entire Palestinian people may come to a boiling point,’ stressing that the round of fighting last May broke out due to attempts to expel the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah (Shimon Hatzadik) neighborhood in Jerusalem ‘and the same factors also exist today’.

He said, ‘The atmosphere among the resistance organizations is inclined to the position of Islamic Jihad, and everyone believes that the Palestinian bloodshed should be responded to.’…”

Iran unveils new drone which can threaten Israel

April 19, 2022 — Israel National News reports: “Iran on Monday unveiled the Kaman-22, a new self-made UAV, with a range of more than 3,000 km and capable of reaching Israel. According to reports, the UAV is a multi-purpose vehicle with strategic capabilities. In addition, the aircraft is capable of flying up to an altitude of eight kilometers and has a flight duration of more than 24 hours.

The Iranian Fars news agency announced that the UAV was capable of carrying several types of cargo and four guided missiles, two non-guided bombs and additional ammunition. It was also reported that the UAV is similar to the American ‘Predator MQ-1’ drone and its production is an upgrade to the Kaman-12 UAV that was first introduced in September 2020.

Meanwhile, Iran reports that the new UAV has new combat, optical and electronic systems. Iran began producing unmanned aircraft as early as 1984, and now has about 48 different models with advanced operational capabilities…”

Islamic Jihad shows off ‘tunnel city’ as it readies for next campaign against Israel

April 20, 2022 — The Times of Israel reports: “In a ‘tunnel city’ under the sandy soils of southern Gaza, Palestinian terrorists are preparing for the next conflict with Israel, as tensions in Jerusalem threaten to escalate.

The underground passageways leave no trace on the surface.

But in a wooded area near Khan Younis, seven masked men in military fatigues carried a collection of machine guns and grenade launchers into a tunnel entrance discreetly tucked into the foot of a small hill.

The gunmen wear headbands of the Al-Quds Brigade, the armed branch of the Islamic Jihad terror group which is the second-largest armed faction in Gaza, after Hamas, which rules the territory…”

Former Iran MP: From the very beginning we wanted to build a nuclear bomb

April 25, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Despite Iran’s insistence that its nuclear activity is for peaceful purposes only, former Iranian MP Ali Motahari revealed on Sunday that Iran ‘from the very beginning’ aimed to make a nuclear bomb, in an interview with the Iran Student Correspondents Association.

‘From the very beginning, when we entered the nuclear activity, our goal was to build a bomb and strengthen the deterrent forces, but we could not maintain the secrecy of this issue, and the secret reports were revealed by a group of hypocrites,’ he said.

The former MP stressed that a country that wants to make peaceful use of nuclear power ‘never starts with enrichment,’ but instead first builds a reactor and then enters the field of enrichment. ‘To do enrichment directly creates the illusion that we want to make a bomb.’

‘If we, like Pakistan, could secretly make and test bombs, it would be very deterrent,’ Motahari told ISCA. ‘When we started something, we should have seen it to the end.’

The former MP stressed, however, that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is now of the opinion that producing nuclear weapons is forbidden…”  (Iran will be blotted out when Russia, China, and Islamic nations fight Israel and her allies during Armageddon – Revelation 16:16.  The battle is described in Ezekiel 39:1 – 5: …thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured… Soon the war of wars will arrive from the North and East [Russia and China] – Daniel 11:44.  The battle is described in Ezekiel 38:1 – 5: …the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,   Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief [Russian] prince of Meshech and Tubal: [Moscow and Tubal, or Tubalsk – Southwest of the Russian capital]:  And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:  Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:  See the next report.)

UN Nuclear Watchdog: Iran Moves Machines for Making Centrifuge Parts to Natanz

April 8, 2022 — Voice of America News reports: “Iran has moved all its machines that make centrifuge parts from its mothballed workshop at Karaj to its sprawling Natanz site just six weeks after it set up another site at Isfahan to make the same parts, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Wednesday.

Iran granted International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors access to Karaj in December to re-install surveillance cameras there after a months-long standoff that followed what Tehran said was Israeli sabotage that destroyed one camera and badly damaged another, prompting Iran to remove all four cameras.

A month later, Iran told the IAEA it was moving production of the parts for advanced centrifuges, machines that enrich uranium, to a new location in Isfahan, and the IAEA set up cameras there to monitor that work.

Little is known about the Isfahan workshop. Diplomats have said it is slightly larger than the Karaj one. On Wednesday, the IAEA said Iran had moved all the equipment from Karaj to an unspecified location at Natanz, raising the question of whether it will increase output by using both Natanz and Isfahan.

‘On the same date (April 4), agency inspectors verified that these machines remained under agency seal at this location in Natanz and, therefore, were not operating,’ the IAEA said in a statement summarizing a confidential report to member states seen by Reuters…”
