Ebola: ‘It’s close, it’s at our front door’

July 30, 2014 — WND.com reports: “Patrick Sawyer, the infected man who boarded an international flight last week carrying the deadly Ebola virus and set off alarms about the disease escaping Africa, was not only an American citizen but was planning to come to the U.S. in August.

‘Patrick was coming here,’ his wife, Decontee, told the St. Paul, Minnesota, Pioneer Press. ‘What if he still wasn’t displaying symptoms yet and came?’

‘He could have brought Ebola here,’ she said. ‘Someone else could bring Ebola here.’

Decontee Sawyer of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, says she is coming forward about her husband’s infection and subsequent death from the disease to highlight the threat of Ebola coming to the U.S.

‘It’s a global problem, because Patrick could’ve easily come home with Ebola,’ Decontee told KSTP-TV in Minneapolis. ‘Easy. Easy. It’s close, it’s at our front door. It knocked down my front door.’…” (Pestilences constitute the final signs occurring during the seven year tribulation period. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse of Revelation 6:1 – 8 predicts the greatest twenty-one calamities occurring just before Christ’s return to set up His kingdom upon earth – Revelation 19:11, 14, 16; 20:4. But number four of the twenty-one judgments has to do with disease that destroys one fourth of earth’s inhabitants – “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth” – Revelation 6:7, 8. See the next report.)

Asia on Alert for Ebola Outbreak

August 8, 2014 — Voice of America News reports: “The largest known outbreak of the lethal Ebola virus in West Africa is prompting authorities as far away as Asia to take preventive measures, although scientists say a global spread of the disease is unlikely.

At South Korea’s Incheon International airport, a major hub for air travel in Asia, quarantine inspections of arriving passengers are being enhanced.

Authorities say all passengers are being recorded by an infrared camera to detect fevers.

South Korea Foreign Ministry spokesperson Han Hye-jin says this is being done because Ebola is becoming a big concern.

She says the South Korean government, in association with health authorities, is paying attention and carefully determining if additional measures are needed.

The country’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it established an Ebola task force in April and is prepared for possible infections in South Korea…”
