China celebrates President Xi in massive exhibition

October 12, 2022 — SinoDaily.com reports: “Intercontinental missiles, disinfection robots and a piece of the Moon — China’s Communist Party on Wednesday flaunted the fruits of its decade under President Xi Jinping ahead of a key meeting expected to extend his rule.

Thousands of people thronged an exhibition in Beijing celebrating Xi’s ‘New Era’ just days before a Party Congress at which the country’s political elite are expected to usher Xi into an unprecedented third term in power.

Visitors snapped selfies beside the enormous Dongfeng-41 nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile outside the entrance to the attraction, housed in a palatial 1950s hall designed by Soviet architects.

Omnipresent portraits of Xi showed the leader handing out awards, greeting a baby and surrounded by beaming well-wishers dressed in traditional clothing.

‘Xi Jinping’s thoughts guide our country’s economic construction towards heroic achievements,’ one caption read…”  (In 2017 China elevated the stature of President Xi Jinping putting him on par with Chairman Mao Zedong who founded the People’s Republic of China in 1949, making him in essence emperor for life, he can stay in power as long as his health allows.  In November of 2017 China told Christians to replace images of Jesus with images of President Jinping in an effort to transform believers in religion into believers of the Communist Party of China.)

Xi Jinping Declares China the Leading World Power at Communist Party Congress

October 18, 2022 — Breitbart.com reports: “Dictator Xi Jinping opened the 20th Chinese Communist Party National Congress on Sunday with a ‘report’ to the Central Committee, which he nominally serves, that claimed China has ascended to global leadership in economics, diplomacy, clean government, and military power.

Xi’s address was triumphant as expected, with little concern for how it might sound to a world still coping with fallout from the coronavirus pandemic China unleashed. The pandemic was old news for Xi, who had no interest in conceding the smallest error in how China handled the crisis.

Instead, Xi’s theme was China’s overwhelming success at creating a ‘modern socialist country’ with ‘high-quality development,’ a slogan that seems designed to sweep aside concerns that China’s economy is in more trouble than the Communist Party wants to admit…”  (China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – [He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Then Psalm 2:6 occurs as God the Father says: …I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Jerusalem].  See the next four reports.)

China’s Xi doubles down in triumphalist Congress speech

October 19, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Chinese President Xi Jinping doubled down on his policies at the opening of the Communist Party Congress, pledging continuity on cornerstones of his decade in power as he seeks to secure a historic third term, analysts say.

Since coming to office, Xi has transformed China by personalising and centralising power, cracking down on corruption and dissent, pushing a more assertive foreign policy and promoting domestic self-reliance in technology and the economy.

Despite alluding to challenges in his speech on Sunday, Xi projected an image of an innovative and strong China, progressing on its own terms and unlikely to change in the coming five-year term.

His report to the Congress ‘was unambiguously about continuity’, tweeted Joseph Torigian of the American University’s School of International Service…”

Xi decade reshapes China’s military, and the region

October 4, 2022 — SinoDaily.com reports: “During Xi Jinping’s decade-long rule, China has built the world’s largest navy, revamped the globe’s biggest standing army, and amassed a nuclear and ballistic arsenal to trouble any foe.

With China’s neighbours now rushing to keep pace, Xi’s next five-year term is likely to see a quickening Asia-Pacific arms race.

From South Korea developing a blue-water navy to Australia buying nuclear-powered submarines, weapons shopping has surged across the region.

According to figures from the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies, Asia-Pacific defence spending passed $1 trillion last year alone.

China, the Philippines and Vietnam have roughly doubled spending in the last decade. South Korea, India and Pakistan are not far behind.

Even Japan is proposing record defence budgets and inching towards ending its long-standing ‘no first strike’ policy, citing an ‘increasingly severe’ security environment…”

‘Watched the whole time’: China’s surveillance state grows under Xi

October 6, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “When Chen picked up his phone to vent his anger at getting a parking ticket, his message on WeChat was a drop in the ocean of daily posts on China’s biggest social network.

But soon after his tirade against ‘simple-minded’ traffic cops in June, he found himself in the tentacles of the communist country’s omniscient surveillance apparatus.

Chen quickly deleted the post, but officers tracked him down and detained him within hours, accusing him of ‘insulting the police’.

He was locked up for five days for ‘inappropriate speech’.

His case — one of the thousands logged by a dissident and reported by local media — laid bare the pervasive monitoring that characterises life in China today.

Its leaders have long taken an authoritarian approach to social control.

But since President Xi Jinping took power in 2012, he has reined in the relatively freewheeling social currents of the turn of the century, using a combination of technology, law and ideology to squeeze dissent and preempt threats to his rule.

Ostensibly targeting criminals and aimed at protecting order, social controls have been turned against dissidents, activists and religious minorities, as well as ordinary people — such as Chen — judged to have crossed the line…”

North Korea says it has tested and deployed ‘tactical nuke’ cruise missiles

October 13, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Kim Jong Un supervised the launch of two long-range cruise missiles, state media said Thursday, adding that the weapons had already been deployed to ‘tactical nuke’ units of the North Korean army.

Kim has overseen a blitz of ballistic missile launches in recent weeks, which Pyongyang has described as tactical nuclear drills that simulated taking out airports and military facilities across South Korea.

The Wednesday test of the two cruise missiles aimed at ‘enhancing the combat efficiency’ of the weapons, which were ‘deployed at the units of the Korean People’s Army for the operation of tactical nukes,’ KCNA reported.

The cruise missiles — which travel at lower altitudes than ballistic missiles, making them harder to detect and intercept — flew 2,000 kilometres (1,240 miles) over the sea before hitting their targets, the Korean Central News Agency said.

Kim expressed ‘great satisfaction’ with the tests, which he said showed the country’s nuclear combat forces were at ‘full preparedness for actual war’ and sent a ‘clear warning to the enemies,’ KCNA said…”  (A huge nuclear war is prophesied multiplied times in God’s Word.  Revelation 9:14 – 18 depicts Armageddon: Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.  And Revelation 16:16 tells of the longest and final battle of the ages.  See the next three reports.)

Several ballistic missiles fired again by North Korea

October 6, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “North Korea fired several unspecified ballistic missiles toward the east coast, mostly likely from Pyongyang, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff and The Japanese Ministry of Defense said on Thursday.

The launches follow joint South Korean and US missile drills and the return of a US aircraft carrier to the region in response to the North’s recent missile tests.

The Japan Coast Guard announced at 6:04 AM and 6:19 AM  JST that North Korea had launched possible ballistic missiles toward Japan, according to The Japan News.

The Japanese Ministry of Defense reported that another ballistic missile launched by North Korea apparently fell outside the country’s economic waters in the Pacific Ocean, with no known damage so far. The government announced an emergency meeting.

‘It is completely unacceptable. We are now confirming the details,’ Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said during a press conference shortly after…”

Koreas exchange warning shots near sea border amid tension

October 24, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “North and South Korea exchanged warning shots off the west coast on Monday, accusing each other of breaching their maritime borders amid heightened military tension.

The South’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it broadcast warnings and fired warning shots to see off a North Korean merchant vessel that crossed the Northern Limit Line (NLL), the de facto sea boundary, at around 3:40 a.m. (1840 GMT Sunday).

The North’s military said it fired 10 rocket artillery rounds after a South Korean navy ship violated the sea border and fired warning shots ‘on the pretext of tracking down an unidentified ship,’ according to state media.

‘We ordered initial countermeasures to expel the enemy warship strongly,’ a spokesperson for the General Staff of the North Korean People’s Army said, according to the official KCNA news agency…”

North Korea nuke test would meet ‘unprecedented’ response — US, Japan, South Korea

October 26, 2022 — The Times of Israel reports: “The United States, Japan and South Korea warned Wednesday that a North Korean nuclear test would warrant an ‘unprecedentedly strong response,’ vowing unity after a blitz of missile launches from the hermit state.

Following talks in Tokyo, the three nations’ deputy foreign ministers said they would ramp up their deterrence in the region.

‘We agreed to further strengthen cooperation… so that North Korea can immediately stop its illegal activities and return to denuclearization talks,’ said South Korea’s Cho Hyun-dong.

‘The three countries agreed on the need for an unprecedentedly strong response if North Korea proceeds with its seventh nuclear test,’ he told reporters.

Seoul and Washington have repeatedly warned that Pyongyang could be close to testing an atomic bomb for the first time since 2017, after a flurry of ballistic missile launches…”
