Iran can strike US cities from the sea, claims all of Europe already within range, Iranian MP says

August 18, 2025 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “An Iranian lawmaker on the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said on Sunday that Tehran can target US cities from offshore positions and that every European country is already within range of Iranian missiles, remarks made as Britain, France and Germany signal they are ready to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran. 

Amir Hayat-Moqaddam told the Iranian outlet Didban Iran that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force has worked ‘for 20 years’ to enable strikes ‘using Iranian warships and vessels,’ adding, ‘We can move our ships to within 2,000 kilometers of the US and from there target Washington, New York and other cities.’ He also asserted, ‘Right now, all European countries are within our range.’

Iran will aim ‘improved missiles’ at Israel in future conflict, Tehran’s defense chief warns

August 20, 2025 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran has reportedly produced a new generation of missiles with significantly enhanced capabilities, and will be deployed in any future confrontation with Israel, the country’s Defense Minister, Brig.-Gen. Aziz Nasirzadeh announced on Wednesday.

Speaking to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Nasirzadeh said the 12-day conflict in June was not only against Israel but also involved ‘the full intelligence, logistical, and operational support of the United States.’ He emphasized that the missiles used during that war had been developed years earlier, but that newer, more advanced weapons have since been manufactured and deployed.

‘If the Zionist regime attempts another act of aggression, we will certainly employ these improved missiles,’ he stated.

Nasirzadeh also said that Iran’s Armed Forces relied entirely on domestically produced systems during the conflict, claiming that Iranian missiles ‘precisely struck their intended targets and caused heavy damage.’ He argued that Israeli censorship prevented the full extent of these strikes from being publicized, though he said reports eventually confirmed their impact…”

Iran looks to China to rebuild its missile capabilities, Israelis concerned

August 15, 2025 — YnetNews.com reports: “Iran is rebuilding its defensive capabilities after the 12-day war with Israel and is likely focusing on new aerial defense systems. Iran may be eyeing advanced Russian defensive systems, but thus far, it has been encountering a less-than-enthusiastic response from Moscow after the embarrassing defeat of the Iranian regime.

Tehran was also focusing on its missile program, which was also severely hit in the war. The regime realized in recent years that it must rely on its own capabilities to attack Israel, especially with ballistic missiles, after its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah was defeated in the war and after the terror group refrained from intervening when Israel launched its attacks on Iran.

Therefore, the Iranians understand that they must maintain a significant missile force as a strategic threat against Israel. Unlike the development of nuclear weapons, Iran is not bound by international treaties preventing it from building an arsenal of ballistic missiles.

Western intelligence agencies, mostly those in Europe, have observed Iranian and Chinese cooperation in that regard. China supplied Iran with some equipment after the October 2024 altercation with Israel, but is now actually rebuilding the Iranian capabilities…”  (Iran will be blotted out when Russia, China, and Islamic nations fight Israel and her allies during Armageddon – Revelation 16:16.  The battle is described in Ezekiel 39:1 – 5: …thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Iran says ‘working with China and Russia’ to stop European sanctions

August 15, 2025 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Iran said Thursday it was working with China and Russia to prevent the snapback of European sanctions over Tehran’s nuclear programme after Britain, France and Germany threatened to reimpose them.

‘We will try to prevent it,’ Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said in an interview with state TV.

‘We are working with China and Russia to stop it. If this does not work and they apply it, we have tools to respond. We will discuss them in due course.’

The trio of European powers, known as the E3, told the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday that they were ready to reimpose sanctions on Tehran if no diplomatic solution was found by the end of August.

All three were signatories to a 2015 deal that lifted sanctions in return for curbs on Iran’s nuclear programme…”
