AIPAC cuts off 15 House Democrats after they voted to strip Israel’s missile defense funding

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has stopped accepting campaign contributions for 15 House Democrats it had previously endorsed for reelection, after each of them voted this week to eliminate all $3.3 billion in annual American security assistance to Israel. By Friday, donors could no longer contribute to any of the 15 campaigns through AIPAC’s website. An AIPAC spokesperson told the New York Times that the organization’s members are “deeply appreciative of their representatives who stand on principle” and are disappointed by those who do not.
