A NUCLEAR IRAN?

2015 nuclear deal no longer relevant, Iran close to bomb, IAEA chief says

December 17, 2024YnetNews.com reports: “International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi said the nuclear deal with Iran was no longer relevant and that Iran was enriching uranium to a military grade and was rapidly nearing the position of a nuclear state. Grossi spoke during a visit to the Italian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

‘The philosophy of the original Iran deal can be used as a basis but the deal itself, is no longer needed,’ Grossi said in an interview with the ANSA news agency. He said Iran currently has many more capabilities and is enriching Uranium to a level of 60% and to nearly 90%, which is military grade.

He said Iran was significantly developing its nuclear capabilities. The new regime under President Masoud Pezeshkian was creating an opportunity for new negotiations but they would have to be on a different basis than the talks that led to the original JCPOA signed in 2015. The IAEA must play a central role he said and there must be serious cooperation between the UN agency and the world powers…”  (A huge nuclear war is prophesied multiplied times in God’s Word.  Revelation 9:14 – 18 depicts Armageddon: Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.  And Revelation 16:16 tells of the longest and final battle of the ages.  See the next three reports.)

Iran’s atomic organization claims it won’t impede IAEA access to nuclear sites

December 18, 2024The Times of Israel reports: “The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said Friday the body will not impede the UN nuclear watchdog’s access and inspection of its sites.

According to a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) earlier this week, Iran agreed to tougher monitoring by the agency at its Fordow site after it greatly accelerated uranium enrichment there to near weapons-grade.

‘We have not created and will not create any obstacles for the agency’s inspections and access,’ Atomic Energy Organization head Mohammad Eslami was quoted as saying by Iranian media.

‘We operate within the framework of safeguards, and the agency also acts according to regulations—no more, no less,’ he added.

The IAEA censured Iran twice in the past year for its refusal to cooperate with the organization’s inspections…”

UK, France, Germany: No ‘credible civilian’ basis for Iran’s growing uranium stash

December 18, 2024The Times of Israel reports: “Britain, France and Germany on Tuesday accused Iran of growing its stockpile of high enriched uranium to ‘unprecedented levels’ without ‘any credible civilian justification.’

The three countries known as the E3 said in a statement that Iran must ‘reverse its nuclear escalation.’

Iran has increased its manufacturing of enriched uranium such that it is the only non-nuclear weapons state to possess uranium enriched to 60 percent, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) nuclear watchdog said.

That level is well on the way to the 90% required for an atomic bomb.

‘Iran’s stockpile of High Enriched Uranium has also reached unprecedented levels, again without any credible civilian justification. It gives Iran the capability to rapidly produce sufficient fissile material for multiple nuclear weapons,’ the trio said in the statement…”

Britain, France and Germany urge Iran to halt ‘nuclear escalation’

December 11, 2024SpaceWar.com reports: “Britain, France and Germany on Tuesday pressed Iran to ‘immediately halt its nuclear escalation’ after the UN nuclear watchdog reported Tehran had sharply stepped up uranium enrichment activity.

‘We, the governments of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, condemn Iran’s latest steps… to expand its nuclear programme,’ the three countries said in a joint statement.

Iran has revamped an enrichment plant at Fordo, south of Tehran, according to an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report seen by AFP.

The changes would ‘significantly increase the rate of production of uranium enriched up to 60 percent’, the IAEA said — on its way to the 90 percent needed to make a nuclear weapon.

Berlin, London and Paris, who along with the United States have held talks with Iran said they ‘strongly urge Iran to reverse these steps, and to immediately halt its nuclear escalation’.

They recalled that their diplomats had met the Iranians in Geneva last week to discuss the country’s nuclear programme ‘and reiterated their commitment to dialogue and constructive behaviour’.

Iran insists on its right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and has consistently denied any ambition of developing weapons capability…”
