A PALESTINIAN STATE?

France eyes Palestinian state recognition by June, Macron announces

April 10, 2025Israel National News reports: “French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday that France intends to formally recognize a Palestinian state in the near future, with the decision potentially being made public during an upcoming international summit in New York.

Speaking to France 5 television following his visit to Egypt, Macron stated, ‘We must move towards recognition, and we will do so in the coming months.’

The French leader said his country is working with Saudi Arabia to co-host a conference in June focused on resolving the Israeli-Palestinian Arab conflict. Macron stated that the event could serve as the platform for ‘finalising this movement of mutual recognition (of a Palestinian state) by several parties.’

Explaining his motivation, Macron said, ‘I will do it (…) because I believe that at some point it will be right and because I also want to participate in a collective dynamic – which must also allow all those who defend Palestine to recognise Israel in turn, which many of them do not do.’

Macron emphasized that recognizing a Palestinian state would also clarify France’s opposition to groups and governments that deny Israel’s legitimacy. ‘Such recognition would allow France to be clear in our fight against those who deny Israel’s right to exist – which is the case with Iran – and to commit ourselves to collective security in the region,’ he stated…”  (Genesis 15:18 states: In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates  and in Joshua 1:4 we read: From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.  These verses encompass all of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised.)

Netanyahu tells Macron a Palestinian state would be ‘huge prize for terror’

April 16, 2025The Times of Israel reports: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his opposition to Palestinian statehood in a phone call Tuesday with French President Emmanuel Macron, the premier’s office said, days after his son hurled an obscenity at Macron for saying Paris could recognize a Palestinian state.

Macron, for his part, urged Netanyahu to halt the war and renew the flow of aid to Gaza, and said a two-state solution was critical to ensuring Israel’s security, according to a social media post by the French president. Neither Macron nor the Prime Minister’s Office mentioned Yair Netanyahu’s insult…

In a statement Tuesday, the Prime Minister’s Office said Netanyahu told Macron that a Palestinian state would be a ‘huge prize for terror’ following the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, when the terror group stormed southern Israel to kill some 1,200 people and take 251 hostages, sparking the war in Gaza.

‘A Palestinian state that is established a few minutes from Israeli cities will be a stronghold for Iranian terror and that a large majority of the Israeli public firmly opposes this – and this is also his consistent and long-standing policy,’ said the PMO, referring to Iran’s support for regional terror proxies including Hamas…”  (Caroline B. Glick, senior contributing editor to The Jerusalem Post wrote a book in 2014 entitled “The Israeli Solution” where she stated in the preface: “Establishing a Palestinian state, so the thinking goes, would be a panacea for all the region’s ills.  It would end the Arab world’s conflict with Israel, because the reason the Arab world is anti-Israel is that there is no Palestinian state.  It would also nearly erase the Arab world’s anti-Americanism, because the reason the Arabs – and the larger Muslim world – are anti-American is that the United States supports Israel even though there is no Palestinian state…  For the past ninety years, the two-state solution has been tried more than a dozen times, and every time it has failed, abysmally.  Between 1970 and 2013, the United States presented nine different peace plans for Israel and the Palestinians, all based on the two-state solution – and for the past twenty years, the two-state solution has been the centerpiece of the U.S. Middle East policy.  But despite this laser focus, American efforts to implement the two-state solution have all been dismal failures.”)
