‘Despicable act of terrorism’: Washington shooting leaves Israeli officials devastated

May 22, 2025 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Israeli officials condemned the shooting at the Jewish Museum in Washington in the early hours of Thursday morning as the country was waking up. 

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was shocked by the horrific antisemitic murder of embassy staff in Washington, his office said in a statement. 

‘We are witnessing the terrible price of antisemitism and the wild incitement against the State of Israel. The blood libels against Israel come at the cost of blood, and they must be fought until eradicated,’ Netanyahu said.

‘My heart aches with the families of the beloved young man and woman whose lives were suddenly cut short by a despicable antisemitic murderer.’

‘I have instructed to strengthen security arrangements at Israeli missions worldwide and to increase protection for state representatives,’ he concluded…”  (The Jewish people have long been blamed for all of the world’s ills.  All throughout history they have been the universal scapegoat.  Incredibly, even the awful plague of the Black Death that swept Europe was blamed on the Jews. They were accused of having poisoned wells with a powder made of spiders, frog legs, Christian entrails, and consecrated hosts (Communion bread). Blood libels spread against Israel pave the way for terror attack, Sa’ar says

May 23, 2025 — YnetNews.com reports: “Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said the murderous terror attack in Washington D.C. late on Tuesday, which resulted in the killing of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, two staffers at the Israeli embassy, was a result of the ‘toxic antisemitic incitement against Israel and Jews around the world.’

Sa’ar said that ‘blood libels spread against Israel, ‘pave the way for murder’ and called on world leaders to ‘stop the false accusations, strengthen Israel against the axis of evil.’ Turning to the world, the minister said the ‘blood libels against us have made Jewish blood fair game.’

Speaking in Jerusalem, the foreign minister said there is an unprecedented wave of attacks and attempted attacks against Israeli missions around the world, with an emphasis on Europe and Israel’s representatives are targets for terrorist attacks and antisemitism that crosses all red lines…”  (The Encyclopedia Judaica defines Blood Libel as “…the allegation that Jews murder non-Jews, especially Christian children, in order to obtain blood for the Passover or other rituals: most blood libels occurred close to Passover, being basically a another form of the belief that Jews had been and still were responsible for the passion and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the divine child; a complex of deliberate lies, trumped-up accusations, and popular beliefs about the murder-lust of the Jews and their bloodthirstiness, based on the conception that Jews hate Christianity and mankind in general. It is combined with the delusion that Jews are in some way not human and must have recourse to special remedies and subterfuges to appear, at least outwardly, like other men. The blood libel led to trials and massacres of Jews in the Middle Ages and early modern times; it was revived by the Nazis. PM Netanyahu: ‘Free Palestine’ is just today’s version of ‘Heil Hitler’

May 23, 2025 — Israel National News reports: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on Thursday evening, issued statement following the fatal shooting of two Israeli Embassy employees in Washington, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim.

‘Last night in Washington, something horrific happened,’ Netanyahu said. ‘A brutal terrorist shot in cold blood a young beautiful couple – Yaron Lischinsky and Sara Milgrim. Yaron had just bought an engagement ring for Sarah. He was planning to give it to her in Jerusalem next week. They were planning to start a new and happy life together. Well, that tragically did not happen.’

Netanyahu stressed that the victims ‘weren’t the victims of a random crime,’ adding, ‘The terrorist who cruelly gunned them down did so for one reason and one reason alone – he wanted to kill Jews. And as he was taken away, he chanted, ‘Free Palestine!’

‘This is exactly the same chant we heard on October 7th,’ Netanyahu stated. ‘On that day, thousands of terrorists stormed into Israel from Gaza. They beheaded men. They raped women. They burned babies alive. They butchered 1,200 innocent people and took 251 innocent people hostage to the dungeons of Gaza.’

Referring to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s reaction to October 7th, Netanyahu said, ‘A short time afterwards, Chancellor Scholz of Germany visited Israel. And after he saw the horrors, he said to me, ‘These Hamas terrorists are exactly like the Nazis.’‘

He continued: ‘He was right. And if they could get away with it, these Hamas terrorists would have slaughtered every last Jew on earth. For these neo-Nazis, ‘Free Palestine’ is just today’s version of ‘Heil Hitler.’‘…”  (When Hitler came to power in Germany, the fate of the Jews in Europe was sealed. Like many before and after him, Hitler blamed the Jews for all the ills of society. He saw the Treaty of Versailles that ended the First World War as a Jewish document. Weaknesses in the German economy were attributed to the Jews. He faulted the Jews for the birth and presence of communism in the world. He accused the Jews of being revolutionary and instigating internationalism, a supposed plot of the Jews to destroy Germany and seize control of the world. They became his favorite scapegoat, and their suffering at his hands rivals the most gruesome of human crimes.

Hitler’s persecution of the Jews began in 1933; shortly after he took office. On April 7 of that year he stripped all Jews of offices in the German civil service. Government officials, doctors, lawyers, and workers in educational and cultural fields were all required to sign the following statement:

I declare officially herewith I do not know of any circumstance — despite careful scrutiny — that may justify the presumption that I am not of Aryan descent; in particular, none of my paternal or maternal parents or grandparents was at any time of the Jewish faith. I am fully aware of the fact that I expose myself to prosecution and dismissal if this declaration proves untrue.

Within three months, thirty thousand heads of Jewish families had been deprived of income.

The future sufferings of the Jews were also announced in two lines of a song called “The Horst Wessel Song,” which became the theme of every major parade in Germany. Translated, two lines of the song were: “When Jewish blood flows from the knife, Things will go much better.”

Under Hitler’s direction there was a steady rise in outrageous demands and unlawful acts against all Jews. By 1938 every synagogue in the nation had been burned, the windows of every Jewish establishment had been shattered, and twenty-five thousand innocent Jews were in concentration camps.

CAM: DC murder was the bloody price of ‘globalize the Intifada’ rhetoric

‘This murder didn’t happen in a vacuum, but is the direct result of the incessant hatred by those who call to ‘Globalize the Intifada,’ said CEO of CAM Sacha Roytman Dratwa. ‘For those who wondered about the context of whether a particular chant was hate speech or antisemitic, this is what it looks like when physically manifested. We have warned about the growing violence of the far-left, and now it seems that our deepest fears have come true.

‘The murderer did not know his victims were Israeli, he just knew they attended a Jewish event. When we say that the antisemites don’t hate Jews because of Israel, but rather, they hate Israel because it is the Jewish homeland, this is what we mean.’…” 

‘Squad’ Reps introduce ‘Nakba’ legislation, sparking outrage

May 16, 2025 — Israel National News reports: “A controversial resolution recognizing the 77th anniversary of the ‘Nakba,’ the Arabic term utilized by Palestinian Arabs to describe what they view as the ‘catastrophe’ or ‘disaster’ associated with the establishment of the modern State of Israel, was introduced in the US Congress on Wednesday, according to JNS.

The legislation was spearheaded by Representatives Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), all prominent members of the so-called ‘Squad’ in the House, notorious for their anti-Israel views.

Rep. Tlaib issued a sharp statement upon the bill’s introduction, saying, ‘The Makba never ended. Today, we are witnessing the Israeli apartheid regime carry out genocide in Gaza. It is a campaign to erase Palestinians from existence.’

Tlaib has been a vocal critic of Israel ever since she took office and has continued her anti–Israel statements and actions during the war against Hamas in Gaza…

‘Action, resistance’: Nakba Day marked by pro-Palestinian protesters across the world

May 16, 2025 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Pro-Palestinian protesters took to the streets across the world in honor of ‘Nakba Day’ on Thursday, many calling for armed resistance and praising the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel.

Nakba Day is the day of commemoration for what Palestinians see as the ‘catastrophe’: the destruction of their society and homeland in 1948. The date chosen was 15 May, which is the day after the Israeli Declaration of Independence on 14 May 1948.

In North America, Within Our Lifetime organized an ‘all out for Gaza’ event in New York City, calling for ‘an end to the ongoing genocide, and full liberation from the river to the sea.’  WOL announced it was joining Palestinians around the world in ‘uplifting our people’s resistance to genocide, Zionism and settler colonialism since 1948.’ It was joined by the local branches of Students for Justice in Palestine as well as Cuny4Palestine…”
