CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH
Backlash brewing over Obamas anti-faith actions
WND.com reports: “A new poll shows that 40 percent of the youth vote, virtually in Barack Obamas pocket four years ago, now is going to likely GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney; a one-time strong supporter of Obama now is campaigning for Romney and a Democratic committeewoman in Pennsylvania has left not just Obama but the entire Democratic Party.
Now with just weeks to go before the 2012 presidential election, Bishop E.W. Jackson, chief of the Staying True to Americas National Destiny, is urging that those individual actions become a flood.
He and others say the Obama administration simply has included among its goals the diminishment of faith and Christianity, and thats not right.
There is a concerted effort to do away with all symbols of our Judeo-Christian culture, to deny our right of conscience in matters of faith and to attack Christians, Catholic and Protestant, who dare to speak openly of their faith, Jackson said. However, there is a silver lining in all of this. This may be an opportunity for an historic shift in the cultural and political direction of our country if Christians of all races will unite in rejecting the godless left agenda of the Democratic Party. ” (Our Black brothers in the faith are sick and tired of Obamas anti-Christian bias. Thank God for Bishop E. W. Jackson and Representative Allen West, another great black Congressman who warns that there are 78 81 Communist members among the Democratic congressmen.)
Billboard Calls Jesus ‘Useless Savior’
WND.com reports: “A group that pushes the philosophy of loving yourself and your fellow man rather than a god is attacking religious believers in a new billboard campaign in the host cities of the upcoming Republican and Democratic conventions.
American Atheists announced a billboard campaign against the foolishness of religion in the political landscape.
According to the group, the billboards feature assertions of Christianity and Mormonism that they say have no place in politics
The billboard, as seen on American Atheists website, attacks Jesus as a Useless Savior next to an image of a piece of toast with a purported image of Jesus burned into it.
It also claims Christians have a Sadistic God and that Christianity has more than 30,000+ versions of truth. Christians, it says, are part of a Hate Promoting group that calls Hate Love. ” (These same idiotic atheists have been attacking me on the internet saying I died from an overdose of alcohol and tobacco. I think they are the leaders of a “hate promoting group that calls hate love.” No wonder God says in Psalm 14:1 and 53:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God ”)
Airlift to rescue 2,000 behind Shariah Curtain
WND.com reports: “The human rights group Barnabas Aid is announcing plans to fly about 2,000 South Sudanese from Khartoum in Sudan to Juba, the capital of the recently formed South Sudan.
The plan is billed as a humanitarian effort to rescue the South Sudanese who are trapped in the predominantly Muslim country.
Barnabas Aid Director of International Relations Julian Dobbs says the project is going ahead even amid the military conflict on the border region.
There continues to be considerable unrest along the border. Thats why this project has become necessary. Were very aware obviously of the challenges that have come from the north, Dobbs said.
Christians have been impoverished and are extremely vulnerable. President Omar al-Bashir has made it clear that Christians are not welcome in Sudan. Frankly hes repeatedly declared his intention to make the constitution of Sudan 100 percent Islamic, Dobbs said.
It makes Christians who are living in these regions in the north very vulnerable. Thus were having engagement with our partners in the Africa Inland Church, Dobbs said ” (Muslims hate Christianity. Jesus predicted that the Jews and Christians would become hated Matthew 24:9; John 16; John 15:18 20. The Koran calls Jews pigs and apes and demands crucifixions for apostate Muslims and trouble making Christians Sura 5:33 in the Koran. The leaders of Islam, its clergy called Imams are preparing for the greatest war and slaughter in history. I have these all documented on a DVD entitled “The Impending Islamic Takeover“. If interested, order the study for $15; yes, fifteen dollars. In this video are a few stories among many reports that thousands of Christians are being tortured and slaughtered in many of Islams 57 nations Revelation 2:10. See the next five reports.)
Christian Pakistani girl arrested for ‘blasphemy’
BBC News reports: “An 11-year-old Christian girl has been arrested after being accused of desecrating pages of the Koran.
She was detained for blasphemy after an angry mob demanded her arrest and threatened to burn down Christian homes outside of the capital, Islamabad, Pakistani media say.
The girl is known to have learning difficulties and could not properly answer police questions, officials say.
Police have taken her parents into protective custody following threats.
Dr Paul Bhatti, Pakistan’s minister for National Harmony, told the BBC that the girl was known to have a mental disorder and that it seemed unlikely she purposefully desecrated the Koran.
From the reports I have seen, she was found carrying a waste bag which also had pages of the Koran. This infuriated some local people and a large crowd gathered to demand action against her. The police were initially reluctant to arrest her, but they came under a lot of pressure from a very large crowd, who were threatening to burn down Christian homes. ”
Blasphemy case: Christian girl’s accuser arrested for planting evidence
The Christian Science Monitor reports: “A Christian girl accused of blasphemy in Pakistan may have been framed by a Muslim cleric. Pakistani police arrested the cleric, accusing him of tampering with evidence that purported to show she had desecrated the Quran.
The cleric, Khalid Chishti, was arrested after the deputy cleric of the same mosque came forward with allegations that he saw Mr. Chishti adding burnt pages of Quran to the evidence that was given to the police.
According to the police, Hafiz Mohammad Zubair, the deputy cleric, says he tried to stop Chishti from tampering with the evidence but the cleric insisted that this is the best way to get rid of the Christians in the area.
This latest twist in a case that had already drawn international outcry will add pressure on Pakistani authorities to absolve the girl, still in prison since last month and facing a possible life sentence. The revelations will also bolster campaigners who have tried to amend or repeal the law for years by arguing that many cases are trumped up to persecute minorities or settle local scores.
It is a sigh of relief because now everyone knows there was victimization of the minor girl, says Peter Jacob, head of Christian activist group, who provide legal support to minorities in Pakistan.
This abuse has been ongoing for two and a half decades and with this case coming to light, we can actually see that there are lacunas in the blasphemy law that need to be removed so such abuse does not take place, says Mr. Jacob, adding that the government should use this opportunity to amend the law. If the law cannot be repealed, the state can at least create safeguards, using this case as an example, Jacob says ”
Pakistan frees Christian girl accused of blasphemy
The Toronto Star reports: “A Pakistani military helicopter plucked a young Christian girl accused of blasphemy from a prison yard and flew her to a secret location after she was granted bail.
Live broadcasts showed heavily armed police surrounding Rimsha Masih, believed to be no older than 14, covering her face with a green scarf as she walked to the helicopter in the prison yard in this garrison city near the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
An Associated Press reporter on the scene said she was taken from the prison in an armoured vehicle and whisked to the waiting helicopter while covered with a sheet to protect her identity.
“Her parents were with her when she was freed from the jail, and she has been taken to a safer place,” said a member of her legal team, Tahir Naveed Chaudhry.
A judge granted Masih bail and her lawyers are applying to have charges that she burned pages of a religious textbook dismissed after a local cleric was detained on suspicion of planting false evidence to stir resentment against Christians.
Even before that arrest, Masihs case provoked international concern that despite her young age and reported mental problems she could possibly face execution under Pakistans blasphemy laws. Many critics say the laws are misused to wage vendettas or to target Pakistans vulnerable minorities like the Christians ”

Report: Iran Acquits Christian Pastor Charged with Apostasy
Breitbart.com reports: “An Iranian pastor sentenced to death for his Christian beliefs was released from custody during a Saturday court proceeding, according to an international religious freedom organization.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports that a court acquitted Yousef Nadarkhani of the Church of Iran of apostasy charges:
According to reliable sources, during court proceedings that took place, Pastor Nadarkhani was acquitted of apostasy, but found guilty of evangelizing Muslims. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment for the latter charge, but released because he had already served this time.
This development, if confirmed, will be a miraculous turn in a story of religious oppression under fundamentalist Islamic law. Nadarkhani was sentenced to death in 2010, and Iran’s own Supreme Court upheld the verdict in 2011 ”
