Boy killed because he might grow up Christian

May 14, 2014WND.com reports: “A Christian girl who fled Nigeria after Islamic terrorists killed her family on Tuesday relayed to journalists in Washington the macabre conversation Boko Haram members had just before they shot and killed her brother.

The terrorists, in 2011, had just killed her father, a Christian pastor, and while one member of a Boko Haram hit squad that came to her home argued to let the young boy live, the other two agreed that he should be shot and killed because he might grow up to be a Christian pastor.

The stunning testimony is part of what Deborah Peters, now a student in the United States, related at an event set up by the Hudson Institute.

Peters, 15, originally from Chibok, where hundreds of her contemporaries and friends recently were kidnapped by Boko Haram in what has developed into a crisis for global proportions, said three Islamists in the Boko Haram terror group stormed into her family’s home.

Her father, a Christian pastor, was in the bathroom showering when they arrived.

‘It was 7:30 and three men knocked on the door and asked where my dad is,’ she said. ‘They drug him from the bathroom and shouted for him to deny his faith. He said he wouldn’t … and they shot him three times in the chest.’
Then they debated killing her younger brother.

They concluded leaving him alive was a danger they could not risk, because he might grow up to be a Christian pastor too…” (“…Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14). “…whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea” (Mark 9:42).)

Muslims Stone, Attack Christians at Church Near Bethlehem

May 15, 2014Israel National News reports: “Christian Arab residents of the village of El-Khader in the Bethlehem area were savagely attacked by local Muslims as they celebrated a Christian holiday last week. A report by CAMERA, an organization which monitors anti-Israel bias in the media, reported that Christians attempting to enter Saint George’s Monastery in the village were intimidated and attacked with rocks and stones.

Author Lela Gilbert, author of Saturday People, Sunday People: Israel through the Eyes of a Christian Sojourner, filed a report with CAMERA over the incident.

‘Some local Muslims either tried to park a car too close the church and/or tried to enter the church during a service honoring St. George – the initial instigation isn’t clear,’ she wrote. ‘But when the intruders were asked to leave, one of them stabbed a Christian man who was outside the church serving as a guard. He was hospitalized. Several then started throwing stones at the church. 7 or 8 Christians were injured and some physical damage was done – broken windows etc. The police didn’t show up for an hour.’ …

In a recent Op-Ed piece in the Wall Street Journal, former Israeli ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, wrote that ‘As 800,000 Jews were once expelled from Arab countries, so are Christians being forced from lands they’ve inhabited for centuries’ throughout the Middle East. Citing statistics, Oren wrote that Ramallah was 90% Christian before the 1948 War of Independence and Bethlehem was 80% Christian. Today Ramallah is a large Islamic city and Bethlehem’s Christians are near extinction…’ (Jesus said in John 15: 18 – 20: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.”)

‘Humiliate Christians Until They Convert’

May 12, 2014Israel National News reports: “In a sermon earlier this year, a British Islamist leader outlined how under an ‘Islamic State’ Christians and other non-Muslims would be systematically humiliated and persecuted to encourage their women and children to convert to Islam.

Abu Walid, an Islamist affiliated with the hardline Salafi stream, cited sources in the hadith (Islamic teachings outside of the Koran, based on the words of Mohammed’s companions) which detailed how the ‘People of the Book’ – referring to Jews and Christians – were to be treated as second-class citizens, or dhimmis, if they chose not to convert to Islam.

Those measures include, among other things: being forced to walk on the narrower side of the street to Muslims, shaving their foreheads, wearing red belts around their necks, being forced to wear odd shoes and only being allowed to travel sideways on donkeys.

The aim is essentially to bully them into accepting Islam – or at the very least to encourage their children and wives to leave them to escape humiliation…” (This diabolical method of forcing Christians to convert by humiliation or threat of death is a Satanic plan used by demonically controlled pagans.)

Meriam Ibrahim to be freed after death sentence for Christian faith overturned

June 1, 2014ChristianToday.com reports: “Sudan authorities will be freeing Christian woman Meriam Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death for her faith.

Ibrahim, who gave birth to a baby daughter on Tuesday, is set to be free in a few days, Sudan officials told news outlets.
The news of the woman being freed comes just a day after David Cameron spoke out against the death sentence handed to Ibraham earlier this month for apostasy. According to the BBC, Mr. Cameron said he was ‘appalled’ by the sentence and that it had ‘no place in today’s world’.

‘Religious freedom is an absolute, fundamental human right,’ he said.

‘I urge the government of Sudan to overturn the sentence and immediately provide appropriate support and medical care for her and her children.’

Ibrahim was sentenced to death and 100 lashes on May 15 for marrying a Christian man. Under Sharia law, she is considered a Muslim, and the marriage is invalid.

Her husband Daniel Wani said that Ibrahim refused to renounce Christianity and ‘return’ to Islam—the religion of her estranged father…” (God honored Meriam’s refusal to deny Jesus. I believe her faith was similar to the Apostle Paul’s as he faced death by beheading through Nero – “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” – II Timothy 4: 6 – 8.)

Sudanese authorities deny Meriam Ibrahim’s release

June 2, 2014ChristianToday.com reports: “Despite reports that Sudanese Christian Meriam Ibrahim will be freed as early as this week, Sudanese government authorities have denied this is certain.

Ibrahim was sentenced on May 15 to 100 lashes and death by hanging as a result of her marriage to a Christian man; under Sharia law in Sudan she is considered a Muslim and her marriage is invalid – she is accused, therefore, of adultery.

She has thus far refused to renounce her Christian faith however, and gave birth to a baby girl, Maya, in the Omdurman Federal Women’s Prison in North Khartoum on May 27.

Her plight has gained international attention, with calls for Sudan to repeal her sentence as a matter of human rights…” (Praise God, prayers have been answered. Meriam Ibrahim was declared innocent of all charges and released into the care of her husband on June 23, 2014.)

The worst places on Earth for Christians

June 5, 2014WND.com reports: “Somewhere around the world, another Christian is martyred, on average, every three hours, according to a new report that identifies nations where radical Islamists are abundant as the worst locations on Earth for Christians to be.

The new World Watch List research team for Open Doors International said the majority of the cases in which Christians are killed over their faith happen in Nigeria, Syria and the Central African Republic.

‘The alarming increase of violence against Christians in Nigeria over the past months highlights the lack of religious freedom they have and the daily dangers they face from the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram and other violent Islamic organizations,’ said David Curry, president of Open Doors USA.

Curry added, ‘Going to school, attending church or identifying yourself as a Christian is a very brave decision in Nigeria. It is turning into a bloodbath. Christians in the West must stand in the gap with our prayers and support.’…” (Presently 37 Muslim nations are slaughtering Christians and the death of Believers in Christ has doubled globally in 2013. These murderers within the Islamic religion will soon pay with the loss of their eternal souls – Revelation 21:8; 22:15. The Spirit of Jesus in the book of Revelation 2:10 states: “…be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”)
