End-Time Praying

In these last days, prayer ought to have priority.

We live in turbulent times. Iniquity is increasing. War threatens. The Middle East is explosive. Signs of the countdown are all about.

During the crucial hours preceding His betrayal, Jesus instructed His disciples to remember the importance of prayer in times of crisis: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41).

The end time is a crisis time. Though the Rapture of the church is itself sign less, evidences of the Lord’s return to set up His Kingdom are already here. And the Rapture of the church precedes the establishment of the Kingdom by seven years. His coming for His own may take place momentarily.

As the clock of prophecy ticks off the final moments, there are many things to be done. Souls must be won. His Word must be given to as many as possible while time remains. Laborers are needed in the whitened harvest.

How shall we ever meet the demands of these trying hours?

Prayer is the only answer.

So, pray!

Pray earnestly, fervently, and continually. Pray in faith. Pray for others. Pray for pastors and evangelists. Pray for missionaries. Pray for revival.

The Lord is coming! Watch and pray!
