Report: Over 1,000 Hezbollah operatives wounded after pagers exploded across Lebanon
September 17, 2024 — YnetNews.com reports: “More than a thousand Hezbollah operatives were injured on Tuesday in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa region and the southern suburbs of Beirut after the pagers they used for communication exploded, Lebanese broadcaster NBN reported. There were no immediate reports of fatalities.
NBN reported that Israel, using advanced technology, remotely detonated Hezbollah’s communication devices (pagers) in multiple locations in Dahieh.
A Hezbollah official admitted to Qatari newspaper The New Arab that ‘Israel breached the organization’s communication devices and detonated them.’ He described the breach as ‘serious and under investigation,’ adding that there were casualties but no fatalities.
Iran’s Mehr news agency reported that Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani was also injured by a pager explosion.
Al Jazeera also reported explosions of devices in the Bekaa region and southern Lebanon.
Saudi news outlet Al Hadath reported more than 70 casualties, with hospitals in Lebanon calling for blood donations. Sources said Hezbollah affiliates requested that images of the injured not be published to avoid putting them at further risk…” (This is one of the most targeted strike in history, focusing on the Hezbollah terrorists. Israel does all that it can to protect civilians – Hamas and Hezbollah use civilians to protect their missiles, placing them next to schools and in residential neighborhoods. Golda Meir has been quoted as saying: “We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”

Coordinated pager blasts were 15-years in the making, report
September 20, 2024 — YnetNews.com reports: “American intelligence officials said the operation to detonate thousands of communication devices used by Hezbollah in Lebanon was at least 15 years in the making, ABC News reported late on Friday.
‘Planning for the attack involved shell companies, with multiple layers of Israeli intelligence officers and their assets fronting a legitimate company that produced the pagers,’ the network said, adding that at least some of those involved were unaware of who they were really working for.
ABC’s sources said 30 to 60 grams of explosives were inserted into the pagers along with an electronic trigger. One source said similar attacks were also considered by the CIA but rejected because of the high risk to innocent bystanders.
According to reports in Lebanon, over 3,000 Hezbollah operatives were wounded when the pagers exploded and 450 more were hurt in the second wave of the attack a day later, when hand radio devices also exploded…”
Completely compromised: Hezbollah faced a ‘multidimensional blow’ with pager attack
September 20, 2024 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Professor Uzi Rabi, head of the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University, spoke Wednesday on 103FM about the severe blow Hezbollah suffered in the beeper attack and the future of the northern front.
‘This is a multidimensional blow,’ said Rabi. ‘It’s clearly visible on an operational or physical level, but I’d also say it highlights a high level of infiltration. It shows that the organization is completely compromised when it comes to information security. Nasrallah, as we’ve come to know him in recent years – with his inflated ego and the belief that he’s Lebanon’s protector, constantly claiming he’s defending the country – now finds himself, in my view, in a very problematic position.’
This came before Nasrallah’s speech on Wednesday, in which he dared Israel to enter Lebanese territory and called escalation in the North ‘a historic opportunity.’
According to Rabi, the Arab world is recognizing Hezbollah’s difficult position online. ‘This is also reflected in the discourse on social networks, particularly Arab social media. Hezbollah has suffered a blow that forces it not only to pick up the pieces but also to rethink its next steps. Until recently, Hezbollah was letting the situation unfold on its own. It operated under the assumption that a truce in Gaza would lead to a truce in the North and tied itself closely to the Gaza narrative.’…”
U.S. official: ‘Hezbollah has been taken 20 years backward’
September 24, 2024 — YnetNews.com reports: “Monday’s intense series of strikes in Lebanon, which followed a string of eliminations of Hezbollah leaders in recent weeks, has led U.S. officials to believe that Israel dealt a significant blow to Hezbollah’s command. ‘They’ve probably been taken 20 years backward,’ a U.S. official told CNN on Tuesday.
In the past two months, two of Hezbollah’s most senior military figures, considered part of the terror group’s founding generation, have been eliminated. In a strike in Dahieh at the end of July, Fuad Shukr, dubbed ‘Hezbollah’s Chief of Staff’ was eliminated. Last week, Ibrahim Aqil, Hezbollah’s head of operations, was terminated alongside senior commanders of the group’s elite Radwan Force…”
Iran’s Guards ban communications devices after strike on Hezbollah, security officials say
September 23, 2024 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication devices after thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon blew up in deadly attacks last week, two senior Iranian security officials told Reuters.
One of the security officials said a large-scale operation is underway by the IRGC to inspect all devices, not just communication equipment. He said most of these devices were either homemade or imported from China and Russia.
Iran was concerned about infiltration by Israeli agents, including Iranians on Israel’s payroll and a thorough investigation of personnel has already begun, targeting mid and high-ranking members of the IRGC, added the official, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter…”
