Iranian Brig.-Gen. urges destruction of Israel prior to nuke talks

November 29, 2021 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces, Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, on Saturday urged the total elimination of the Jewish state during an interview with an Iranian regime-controlled media outlet.

‘We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel, even one millimeter. We want to destroy Zionism in the world,’ Shekarchi told the Iranian Students News Agency.

Shekarchi’s genocidal antisemitic remarks come just days before the nuclear talks are set to restart in Vienna Monday on curbing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s illicit nuclear program. The United States and other world powers are seeking to provide Tehran with economic sanctions relief in exchange for temporary restrictions on its atomic program. IRGC commander: If Israel starts a war, it will end with its destruction

November 11, 2021 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Aerospace Force, warned on Thursday that if Israel starts a conflict Iran will ‘destroy’ it, according to Iranian media.

‘The Zionist regime officials know that they can be the initiators, but the end is with us; the end of this work is the destruction of the Zionist regime, and if they give us an excuse, they will not see after this period, and their destruction will certainly be advanced historically,’ added the commander.

Israel ‘doomed to termination,’ Iranian general threatens

November 11, 2021 — The Times of Israel reports: “The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force said Thursday that Israel is ‘doomed to termination’ and that any move by Jerusalem against the Islamic Republic will expedite that demise.

Israeli security chiefs have ramped up their rhetoric against Iran, with IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi warning Tuesday that the military was boosting its preparations for a possible attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

The same day, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel would carry out operations that ‘haven’t been seen in the past’ if regional war breaks out.

Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran, Amir Ali Hajizadeh mocked Israel for being the ‘only regime in the world arguing about how to survive,’ according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.

Bahrain FM: Iran getting nuclear weapons would be ‘catastrophic’

November 23, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “Bahrain Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani told i24NEWS he was ‘concerned’ about Iran getting nuclear weapons.

‘I am concerned. Iran achieving nuclear weapons status would definitely be a catastrophic development, not just for the region, but also for the wider world, enabling Iran to hold large parts of the world as kind of ransom, through its nuclear threat.

‘That is why it is so important that this cannot be allowed to happen.‘…”  (Nuclear war is part of the battle of the ages – see Revelation 9:18. Senior EU official: ‘Iran doesn’t have peaceful intentions with its nuclear program’

November 4, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “‘I don’t believe that the Iranians only have peaceful intentions with their nuclear program,’ said David Lega, a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament. Lega was responding to recent protestations of the Iranian regime that it has only ‘civilian purposes’ in mind with its progress toward nuclear capability.

Speaking exclusively to Israel Hayom from his residence in Sweden, Lega said that, ‘We haven’t yet come to a decision regarding Iran; we are monitoring the situation closely, using great caution. I don’t want to speak on behalf of the Committee as we haven’t debated this issue yet, but I think that most of the other members hold similar views to my own.’

In the interview, Lega mentioned the letter of condemnation that he, together with his fellow committee members, sent to the European Union (EU) Foreign Minister, Josep Borrell, protesting the presence of Enrique Mora, the EU’s deputy secretary-general for political affairs, at the inauguration ceremony for the new president of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, last June…”

Israel needs to ‘be ready’ for war, IDF officer says as large-scale drill ends

November 4, 2021 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “As the IDF’s large-scale Homefront Command and National Emergency Authority (RAHEL) drill simulating a large-scale conflict with Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group comes to a close, officers warn that both citizens and soldiers need to be ready for any type of emergency to hit the homefront.

‘The homefront needs to be ready, and so do we. Whenever something should happen we all need to be ready, the citizens and the army,’ said Training Officer of the Northern Command, Lt.-Col Yaniv Friedman.

Along with the Homefront Command and RAHEL, all security and various governmental bodies as well as Israel Police and Magen David Adom participated in the drill that ended on Wednesday night.

Former Mossad chief: Attack on Iran must be on the table

November 26, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “Former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen has warned that Israel must be prepared for all scenarios, and that a military strike on Iran must remain on the table.

Cohen’s warning comes just ahead of the resumption of talks on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna on Monday.

‘An independent attack on nuclear sites, if Iran goes that route, endangering our existence, needs to be and must be on the table – unequivocally,’ Cohen told Ynet.

Cohen explained to Ynet what Israel sees as the differences between a reasonable agreement and one which would be very dangerous.

‘A good agreement will be able to prevent Iranian achievements towards the bomb, and a horrible agreement, like what was signed in the past, will not be able to do that perfectly,’ Cohen stressed.

‘The bottom line is that we must take these abilities from Iran, because we cannot take their motivations from them. The Iranian vision and motivation are still there, and so they are insisting, strongly insisting, on maintaining the abilities to develop nuclear abilities – and we must take that from them,’ he emphasized…”

IDF spokesman: ‘We’re accelerating our plans against Iran’

November 30, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “On Tuesday morning, to the backdrop of the Vienna nuclear talks, IDF spokesperson Brigadier-General Ran Kochav discussed the IDF’s readiness for action against Iran if necessary and stressed that Israel’s armed forces are preparing for all possible scenarios.

‘I won’t go into policy details, but as we have said in the past, we are preparing for all eventualities,’ Kochav told Kan Bet. ‘We have enhanced our level of readiness, and the military and operational spheres are at the forefront of both preventing Iran from establishing itself in the northern arena and preventing it from becoming a threshold state.’

He added that, ‘When I say that we are accelerating our plans against Iran – I mean precisely that.’

On Monday, talks on Iran’s nuclear program and associated sanctions began in Vienna, with the participation of representatives from Iran and other world powers. The United States is not actively participating in the talks…”

‘Israel could take unilateral action against Iran if sanctions lifted’

December 1, 2021 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Lifting sanctions on Iran could lead to military action by Israel, officials in Jerusalem warned world powers, as negotiations to curb the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program continued on Tuesday.

If the US lifts sanctions – along with international sanctions soon to be lifted under the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal – Iran could reach the nuclear threshold within six months, Israel has warned.

At that point, Israel could find it necessary to take unilateral action.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid called for the world to ramp up the threat to Iran in order to deter it from developing a nuclear weapon.

In a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Lapid emphasized that Israel views the talks as an attempt by Tehran to stall as it advances its nuclear program, and the world must have a plan B…”
