Hamas leader: Palestine will not be liberated through fake peace, only through Jihad

October 4, 2022 — Israel National News reports: “Senior Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said on Monday that there is no point in negotiating with Israel on any sort of arrangement, since the path of jihad is what will lead to the ‘conquest of Palestine.’

In a speech marking the 835th anniversary of the conquest of Jerusalem by Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, Mashaal said that Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are the goals of the awakening of the Islamic nation.

‘The conquest (of Palestine) will only be achieved through jihad, resistance and martyrs’, he stated, adding that ‘the way of the conquest will not be through negotiations, since Jerusalem will not be returned through fake peace agreements with the enemy or through normalization whose purpose is to mislead the nation and turn the first enemy into an ally in the area.’

‘Israel is our first and most dangerous enemy towards Palestine and the region,’ Mashaal emphasized, noting that ‘the West Bank is now burning under the feet of the occupying invaders and is in a jihadist fight.’

UN pushes to declare Israeli occupation illegal, may seek ICJ opinion

October 20, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “UN experts are pushing for the International Court of Justice at the Hague to issue an advisory opinion declaring that the Israeli occupation of territory over the pre-1967 lines is illegal.

The UN General Assembly could issue a resolution to seek such an opinion already this year.

A request for such an opinion has already been submitted to the UN’s Third Committee by the Commission of Inquiry on ‘the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel,’ headed by South African legal expert Navi Pillay.

The three-member permanent COI was created last year and published on Thursday its second report, which will be debated by UNGA’s Third Committee on October 27.

The request for an ICJ advisory opinion was listed at the end of the 28-page document.

‘The actions of Israeli Governments reviewed in our report constitute an illegal occupation and annexation regime that must be addressed’, stated COI Commissioner Chris Sidoti. 

‘The international system and individual States must act and uphold their obligations under international law. Assessment: Hezbollah will use Iranian drones against Israel in next conflict

October 18, 2022 — Israel National News reports: “Israel’s security establishment is closely monitoring the Russian attack in Ukraine using Iranian-made drones, Kan 11 reported. Israel and the United States are among the only Western countries that have already acquired operational experience in dealing with Iranian drones, when these weapons were used to carry out attacks in Israel and against American targets in the Middle East.

The understanding in Israel is that in the next campaign in the north, Iranian drones will be launched at the country by Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guards and the Shi’ite militias. According to estimates, there are dozens of Iranian drones in Syria and Lebanon. Iran testing drones on Ukrainian civilians for future use on Israel

October 21, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran is using Ukraine as a testing ground for its drones to prepare for future drone attacks on Israel, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry claimed on Thursday. 

‘Today hundreds of Iranian drones are undergoing ‘test runs’ on our land, killing civilians,’ The Defense Ministry wrote on Twitter. ‘These drones were not intended for use against Ukraine. To have a strategic advantage over its enemy, Israel should conduct a ‘test run’ of its air defenses Ukraine is the best testing ground.’

The comment was made the same day that Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Ukrainian Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke about cooperation between Iran and Russia, and the day that it was confirmed by the US not only that Iran was selling drones and missiles to Russia, but that Iranian military personnel were overseeing the launch of the suicide drones against Ukraine…”

Warily eyeing Kyiv strike, Israel said to fear it will be next target of Iran drones

October 19, 2022 — The Times of Israel reports: “Jerusalem has reportedly been closely monitoring Russia’s deadly launch of Iranian-made suicide drones at the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, fearing that similar weapons will be directed at Israel in future wars on its northern border.

The security establishment believes similar drones will be deployed against Israel by Lebanon’s Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies, the Kan public broadcaster reported Monday evening without citing any sources.

The network said the fear regarding Iran’s drone-making capabilities is what led Israel to bulk up its air defenses in the north with systems like Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow missiles…”

Iranian Teen Dies After Security Forces Beat Her for Refusing to Sing at Regime Rally

October 21, 2022 — Breitbart.com reports: “The Coordinating Council of Teachers Syndicates of Iran (CCTSI) reported on Wednesday that Iranian security forces beat a 16-year-old girl student named Asra Panahi to death after forcing her to attend a rally in support of the government, where she allegedly refused to sing a pro-regime song.

Protests have been sweeping Iran ever since its thuggish ‘morality police’ killed a young Kurdish woman named Mahsa Amini five weeks ago for supposedly wearing her mandatory headscarf improperly. Many of the protesters are female students who have been casting aside their own headscarves and making bold gestures of defiance against the theocratic regime.

According to a statement from the teacher’s union in Panahi’s hometown of Ardabil, Iranian authorities illegally forced girls from Shahed High School to attend a pro-government rally last Tuesday.

Once the girls had been marched to the designated area, they were ordered to sing a song praising the theocracy. Some of them refused and sang a protest chant instead, prompting regime thugs to verbally and physically assault them. Seven students were injured, including Asra Panahi, who later died of her injuries in the hospital.

The teacher’s union said regime operatives raided the school after the disobedient girls returned and assaulted several more of the students. Crowds gather at Mahsa Amini’s graveside, call for death of Khamenei

October 26, 2022 — “Iranian riot police deployed in large numbers in Mahsa Amini’s home town of Saqez on Wednesday, witnesses said, after activists called for protests across the country to mark 40 days since she died in detention over her ‘inappropriate attire.’

Witnesses in the capital Tehran and the cities of Tabriz and Rasht to the north also reported a heavy presence of security forces in the streets.

Protests ignited by the 22-year-old’s death while in the custody of Iran’s morality police on Sept. 16 have become one of the boldest challenges to the Islamic Republic’s clerical leadership since the 1979 revolution.

A wide range of Iranians have come out onto the streets, with some calling for the downfall of the Islamic Republic and chanting ‘Death to (Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali) Khamenei.’

A witness in Saqez said the cemetery where Amini is buried was filled with members of the volunteer Basij militia and police…”

Taliban Accused of Executing 27 ‘Rebel’ Prisoners

October 19, 2022 — Voice of America News reports: “A new investigative report accuses Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers of executing 27 opposition fighters in custody during last month’s military operations in the turbulent northern province of Panjshir.

Afghan Witness (AW), an open-source project run by the U.K.-based nonprofit Center for Information Resilience, studied the allegations and published its findings Tuesday, which contradict earlier Taliban claims of killing the men in battlefield clashes.

The victims were said to be affiliated with the National Resistance Front (NRF), which has been waging an armed resistance against the Taliban since the Islamist group seized power more than a year ago.

AW researchers analyzed dozens of social media videos and photographs to ‘conclusively link’ a group of Taliban fighters to the extrajudicial killings of 10 men in Dara district area.

‘Five men—one facing the executioners on his knees, the others sitting facing away, all blindfolded with hands bound behind their backs—are repeatedly shot for 20 seconds… accompanied by celebratory cries from the large group of [Taliban] fighters,’ the report said, adding that the group of Taliban fighters could be identified with five more men who were later executed…”
