Iranian Calls for ‘Islamic Awakening’ to Destroy Israel

Israel National News reports: “An Iranian official called for an ‘Islamic Awakening’ movement to help Palestinian Authority Arabs ‘demolish the Zionist regime’, the IRNA news agency reported.

The comments were made at a conference in Tehran in honor of Nakba Day – the day of catastrophe – which is what the Arabs call the English date of May 15, when the State of Israel was re-established with a declaration of independence in 1948.

In a brief address at the end of the conference, the official, Hossein Shiekholeslam said, ‘In success of a revolution three major factors need to play effective roles, and they are the people, the leadership, and the school of thought, or ideology.’

He added, ‘If we wish success for the Palestinians, the existence of these three factors is necessary, as they did exist in the case of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.’

Sheikholeslam said that ‘In near future the Islamic Awakening movement would also swallow the Zionist regime.’…” (Iran’s goal is Psalm 83:4: “…Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” See the next four reports.)

Iran: ‘Thunder’ will fall on Israel if it attacks

SpaceDaily.com reports: “Any attack by Israel on Iran will blow back on the Jewish state ‘like thunder,’ Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said.

Khamenei also said that the international community’s suspicion that Iran was seeking nuclear weapons is based on a ‘lie’ and he insisted that sanctions imposed on his country were ineffective and only strengthened its resolve.

His speech, broadcast on state television to mark the 1989 death of his predecessor and founder of the Islamic republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, contained no sign Iran was prepared to make any concessions on its disputed nuclear programme.

Instead, it was infused with defiance and Khamenei’s customary contempt for Iran’s arch-foes Israel and the United States.

If the Israelis ‘make any misstep or wrong action, it will fall on their heads like thunder,’ Khamenei said.

The Jewish state, he added, was feeling ‘vulnerable’ and ‘terrified’ after losing deposed Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak as an ally…”

Nasrallah: Hezbollah able to strike anywhere in Israel

Haaretz reports: “Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said that his militant group was capable of striking any target in neighboring Israel, saying ‘the days when we fled and they did not are over.’

‘Today we are not only able to hit Tel Aviv as a city but, God willing, we are able to hit specific targets in Tel Aviv and anywhere in occupied Palestine,’ Nasrallah said in a televised address.

‘For every building destroyed in Dahiya, a building will be destroyed in Tel Aviv,’ he said, referring to Hezbollah’s stronghold in a suburb of southern Beirut.

Nasrallah’s comments were some of his harshest words against Israel in several months, and came amid rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah’s main backer, Iran…”
