RUSSIA AND THE KINGS OF THE EAST

Russia, China cast vetoes to block UN resolution on Syria

September 20, 2019 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Russia and China on Thursday vetoed a UN Security Council resolution backed by 12 of the 15 member states that called for a ceasefire in Syria’s war-torn Idlib province.

It was Russia’s 13th veto of a UN resolution since the Syrian conflict erupted in 2011, highlighting the Security Council’s impasse over the issue.

Germany, Belgium and Kuwait had led the push for the resolution, noting that half a million people have been displaced in Idlib since government forces opened an offensive four months ago.

They warned that the conflict could become the century’s worst humanitarian crisis if the fighting persisted, and urged Russia not to veto what they said was a ‘purely humanitarian’ measure.

But following two weeks of negotiations, Russia quashed the text after pressing unsuccessfully to include an exception for ‘anti-terrorist operations.’…”  (Russia in Bible prophecy is the main instigator of death and suffering during Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39, which I have proclaimed for sixty years, aided by Oriental and Islamic nations, bring total chaos and atomic devastation upon the world.  Worse yes, it’s just ahead of us.  Every nation I included in World War III is forming exactly as taught this global blood bath six decades ago.  The only good news is that the Rapture precedes Armageddon – “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth” – Revelation 3:10.  Then our deliverance as believers – Revelation 4:1 and our joy because of missing Armageddon.  See the next report.)

Russia warns against annexing Jordan Valley on eve of Netanyahu-Putin meet

September 12, 2019 — YnetNews.com reports: “Russia warned on Wednesday that Benjamin Netanyahu’s pledge to annex the West Bank’s Jordan Valley could escalate tensions as the Israeli prime minister geared up to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said it was concerned over Netanyahu’s plan, saying its implementation could lead to a ‘sharp escalation of tensions in the region (and) undermine hopes for the establishment of long-awaited peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors.’

Moscow pointed out that Netanyahu’s pre-election pledge drew a ‘sharp negative reaction’ in the Arab world and reiterated its call for direct talks between Israel and Palestinians.

Battling to win re-election in Sept. 17 polls, Netanyahu issued the deeply controversial pledge on Tuesday night, drawing firm condemnation from the Palestinians, Arab states, the United Nations and the European Union…”

Russia, Iran blame U.S. for regional tensions

September 3, 2019 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “Moscow and Tehran on Monday blamed US policies for tensions in the Middle East while Russia said it welcomed French efforts to save the Iran nuclear deal.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned Washington’s latest actions in Syria as he visited Moscow for talks with Russia’s top diplomat Sergei Lavrov.

At the weekend US forces attacked jihadist leaders in northwestern Syria, in what a battlefield monitor called a missile strike that left at least 40 dead.

‘Together with Russia and Turkey, Iran has ensured relative security and calm in Syria,’ Zarif told journalists after talks with Lavrov.

‘But the United States is creating a new unstable situation east of the Euphrates in Syria including through actions they’ve undertaken in Idlib.’

Moscow has said that the Americans hit the region ‘without advance notice to Russia or Turkey’, threatening a fragile ceasefire in the province of Idlib…”  (Russia is warming up for Armageddon. Soon a peace program will be contracted for the Middle East nations – Daniel 11: 21, 24. It will be a peace contract for seven years but broken after 42 months – Daniel 9:27. Russia is the nation that then says: “…I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations…” – Ezekiel 38:11, 12. Russia deploys S-400 missiles in Arctic; Offers Saudi ABM systems

September 20, 2019 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to sell Saudi Arabia its missile defence systems on Monday in the wake of the weekend attack on its oil facilities.

‘We are ready to help Saudi Arabia so that she can protect her territory.

‘She can do so in the same way that Iran has already done in buying the S-300 Russian missile system and the same way that Turkey has already done in buying the S-400 Russian missile system,’ Putin said at a press conference in Ankara, alongside the Turkish and Iranian leaders.

His comments come after the Kremlin warned against a hasty reaction to the strikes, which Washington has blamed on Iran.

But the attacks were initially claimed by Iran’s Houthi rebel allies in Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is bogged down in a five-year war.

Speaking alongside Putin, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the attacks were an act of self-defence by Yemeni rebels…”

Pentagon steps up efforts to counter China’s rising power

September 16, 2019 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “Maritime operations, missile tests, landing exercises: the Pentagon has been sharply stepping up its efforts to counter China’s growing military power, seen increasingly as a threat.

On Friday an American warship approached the Paracel Islands, an island chain claimed by Beijing in the South China Sea, to affirm international ‘freedom of navigation’ in the region.

The USS Wayne E. Meyer, a guided-missile destroyer, passed near the islands to contest Beijing’s sweeping claims to the seas around the archipelago, which is also claimed by Taiwan and Vietnam.

The Chinese claim would block ‘innocent passage’ by other countries’ ships and is ‘not permitted by international law,’ a US Seventh Fleet spokeswoman, Commander Reann Mommsen, said.

Friday’s was the sixth ‘freedom of navigation operation’ — or FONOPS in naval jargon — this year, a clear acceleration in pace…”  (China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – “[He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south” – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Then Psalm 2:6 occurs as God the Father says: “…I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Jerusalem].”  See the next report.)

U.S. Warship Sails Near South China Sea Islands Claimed by China

August 29, 2019 — Voice of America News reports: “A U.S. Navy destroyer sailed near islands claimed by China in the South China Sea on Wednesday, the U.S. military said, a move likely to anger Beijing at a time of rising tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

The busy waterway is one of a growing number of flashpoints in the U.S.-Chinese relationship, which include an escalating trade war, American sanctions on China’s military and U.S. relations with Taiwan. Reuters reported on Tuesday that China had denied a request for a U.S. Navy warship to visit the Chinese port city of Qingdao.

The U.S. Navy vessel Wayne E. Meyer, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, carried out the operation, traveling within 12 nautical miles (14 miles/22 km) of Fiery Cross and Mischief Reefs, Commander Reann Mommsen, a spokeswoman for the Japan-based U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet, said.

The operation was conducted ‘to challenge excessive maritime claims and preserve access to the waterways as governed by international law,’ Mommsen said…”

Experts: China Could Be ‘New Road’ Touted by North Korea

September 5, 2019 — Voice of America News reports: “China may be a ‘new road’ for North Korea if diplomacy with the United States fails, experts say.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with a senior North Korean official Wednesday in Pyongyang during a three-day visit that began Monday, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Wang told Ri Su Yong, vice chairman of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party, that China’s prosperity cannot be impeded by any country, apparently referring to the U.S., with which Beijing has been involved in an ongoing trade dispute.

Wang said Beijing and Pyongyang should bolster cooperation and protect their mutual interests as Ri expressed hope for close ties, according to the ministry…”  (II Timothy 3:1 – “This know also, that in the last days perilous [dangerous] times shall come.” Soon the kings of the East [Orient] will move into the Middle East – the second invasion of Israel after Russia’s defeat. America will be involved against North Korea as part of “Tarshish” – Ezekiel 38:16. See the next report.)

U.S. says North Korea blocking resumption of nuclear talks

September 9, 2019 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “North Korea must stop blocking nuclear talks with the United States before it is too late, the US special envoy to that country said amid a stalemate in the negotiations.

‘If we are to succeed, North Korea must set aside its search for obstacles to negotiations and instead seek the opportunities for engagement while that opportunity lasts,’ Stephen Biegun said Friday in a speech at the University of Michigan.

The State Department released the text of his remarks on Saturday.

The two countries began a historic dialogue after President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held a summit in Singapore in June 2018.

A second summit in Hanoi in February collapsed without an agreement. The pair met again in June in the Demilitarized Zone dividing North and South Korea, and agreed there to restart working-level dialogue, but those talks have yet to begin.

In recent weeks North Korea has carried out a series of tests of short-range missiles. US officials have called these launches provocations, although Trump himself has avoided criticizing them…”
