The China-Russia entente could be the next big alliance

November 24, 2021 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “China and Russia signed Tuesday a ‘roadmap’ for closer military ties, reports indicated. The Associated Press reported that ‘Russia’s defense chief on Tuesday signed a roadmap for closer military ties with China, pointing to increasingly frequent U.S. strategic bomber flights near both countries’ borders.’ 

This is an important new development and could have major ramifications for the rest of this century. The report says that during a video call, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Chinese counterpart Wei Fenghe ‘expressed a shared interest in stepping up strategic military exercises and joint patrols by Russia and China.’  

‘China and Russia have been strategic partners for many years,’ Shoigu said. ‘Today, in conditions of increasing geopolitical turbulence and growing conflict potential in various parts of the world, the development of our interaction is especially relevant.’ Russia has been expressing more concern over US military flights near Russian airspace. Russia says there have been ‘30 such missions over the past month alone,’ the report says.  ’This month, during the U.S. Global Thunder strategic force exercise, 10 strategic bombers practiced the scenario of using nuclear weapons against Russia practically simultaneously from the western and eastern directions,’ Shoigu said…”  (China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – [He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Pentagon plans stronger US posture toward China, Russia

November 30, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The US military will reinforce deployments and bases directed at China and Russia, while maintaining forces in the Middle East adequate to deter Iran and jihadist groups, the Pentagon said Monday, referencing results of a review.

The US Defense Department will be upgrading and expanding military facilities in Guam and Australia, underscoring its focus on China as the country’s leading defense rival, officials said.

The details of the ‘global posture review,’ commissioned by President Joe Biden’s administration early this year, would remain classified, the officials added, so as not to reveal plans to rivals.

The move comes in the wake of the formation of a new defense alliance, dubbed AUKUS, between the United States, Britain and Australia to counter a rising China, which has been building up its own navy and testing decades of US military dominance across Asia…”

China’s Xi warns of ‘Cold War-era’ tensions in Asia-Pacific

November 11, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Chinese President Xi Jinping warned against a return to Cold War-era divisions in the Asia-Pacific Thursday as tensions mounted over the security of Taiwan.

In the run-up to an anticipated virtual summit with US President Joe Biden as early as next week, Xi said countries in the region must work together on common challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic to trade.

‘Attempts to draw ideological lines or form small circles on geo-political grounds are bound to fail,’ he told a virtual business conference on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit hosted by New Zealand.

‘The Asia-Pacific region cannot and should not relapse into the confrontation and division of the Cold War era.’

U.S., China trade Taiwan warnings ahead of Biden-Xi summit

November 15, 2021 — SinoDaily.com reports: “The top diplomats from China and the United States have exchanged stern warnings over the flashpoint issue of Taiwan, ahead of Monday’s hotly awaited summit between their leaders.

The virtual meeting of presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping comes against a backdrop of rising tensions — in part over Taiwan, a self-ruling democracy claimed by Beijing, but also over trade, human rights and other issues.

In a phone call Friday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss preparations for the summit, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken raised concerns over Beijing’s ‘military, diplomatic, and economic pressure’ on Taiwan.

Wang warned of the dangers of US actions that might seem supportive of ‘Taiwan independence.’

Washington switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing in 1979, but an act of Congress passed that year requires the United States to provide weapons to Taiwan for self-defense…”

U.S. warns China on action against Philippines

November 22, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The United States on Friday accused China of an escalation against the Philippines and warned that an armed attack would invite a US response after an incident in disputed waters.

‘The United States stands with our ally, the Philippines, in the face of this escalation that directly threatens regional peace and stability,’ State Department spokesman Ned Price said in Abuja, where Secretary of State Antony Blinken was travelling.

The action ‘escalates regional tensions, infringes upon freedom of navigation in the South China Sea as guaranteed under international law and undermines the rules-based international order.’

He warned that any ‘armed attack on Philippine public vessels’ would invoke the 1951 US-Philippines treaty in which Washington is obliged to defend its ally…”

Philippines accuses China of ‘harassment’ in disputed sea

November 24, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Manila’s defence minister on Tuesday accused the Chinese coastguard of ‘intimidation and harassment’ after Philippine navy personnel were filmed and photographed unloading goods in the disputed South China Sea.

Tensions over the resource-rich waters have spiked in the past week after Chinese coastguard ships fired water cannon at Philippine boats delivering supplies to marines at Second Thomas Shoal in the contested Spratly Islands.

Manila expressed outrage over the attack which forced the Philippine boats to abort their mission. But Beijing said the vessels had entered its waters without permission.

China claims almost all of the waterway, through which trillions of dollars in trade passes annually, with competing claims from Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam…”

Pentagon: China expanding its nuclear arsenal faster than anticipated

November 4, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “China is expanding its nuclear arsenal much more quickly than anticipated, narrowing the gap with the United States, the Pentagon said in a report published Wednesday.

China could have 700 deliverable nuclear warheads by 2027, and could top 1,000 by 2030 — an arsenal two-and-a-half times the size of what the Pentagon predicted only a year ago, according to the report.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) ‘is investing in, and expanding, the number of its land-, sea-, and air-based nuclear delivery platforms and building the infrastructure necessary to support this major expansion of its nuclear forces.

Chinese Military on Target to Surpass US, Russia

October 29, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “It is only a matter of time before China’s plan to replace the United States as the world’s preeminent military becomes reality, a top U.S. general warned, calling on the Washington and its allies to speed efforts to counter Beijing’s bid for dominance.

General John Hyten, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Washington’s second-most-senior military officer, called the rapid rise of the Chinese military ‘stunning.’

‘The pace they’re moving and the trajectory that they’re on will surpass Russia and the United States if we don’t do something to change it,’ he told the Defense Writers Group on Thursday, responding to a question from VOA…”  (And the number of the army of the horsemen [was] two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. – Revelation 9:16

Think of it! Two hundred million soldiers! No wonder the ancient prophet said, And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land (Ezekiel 38:16). This army advances in the latest and best of equipment: For the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation …The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings (Nahum 2:3, 4).

Many Bible scholars associate the army of two hundred million with Red China and her oriental allies by tying this text concerning the Euphrates together with chapter 16, verse 12: And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east [or the kings of the sunrising] might be prepared. Chinese hypersonic test included pathbreaking 2nd missile launch

November 23, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “China’s test of a globe-circling hypersonic weapon in July included the unprecedented launch of a separate missile from the ultra-high-speed vehicle, according to the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal.

The test showed China’s development of its strategic, nuclear-capable weapons as more advanced than any had thought, surprising Pentagon officials, the two newspapers said.

Neither the United States nor Russia has demonstrated the same ability, which requires launching a missile from a parent vehicle traveling five times the speed of sound.

The Financial Times, which first reported the test over the weekend, said US military experts are trying to understand how China mastered the technology, which puts them in advance of rivals in the hypersonic arms race.

Russia test fires Zircon hypersonic missile

November 19, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Russia said on Thursday it had carried out another successful test of its Zircon hypersonic cruise missile, one the latest additions to the country’s arsenal of weapons called ‘invincible’ by President Vladimir Putin.

Moscow has in recent years touted the development of weapons that it hopes will give it the edge in any arms race with the United States at a time of growing tensions with the West.

Hypersonics can travel more than five times the speed of sound and manoeuvre in mid-flight, making them much harder to track and intercept than traditional projectiles.

The military said on Thursday it had fired the Zircon missile from the Admiral Gorshkov warship and hit a test target in Russia’s Arctic waters…”

US-China hypersonic weapons ‘arms race’ is underway, Air Force chief says

December 1, 2021 — FoxNews.com reports: “The U.S. Air Force affirmed Tuesday that a hypersonic weapons ‘arms race’ is well underway between the United States and China. 

Secretary Frank Kendall told Reuters, ‘There is an arms race, not necessarily for increased numbers, but for increased quality.’ 

‘It’s an arms race that has been going on for quite some time,’ he said. ‘The Chinese have been at it very aggressively.’  

Kendall’s comments came weeks after Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley confirmed that China had conducted tests of its hypersonic weapons systems over the summer, likening it to the ‘Sputnik moment’ of the late 1950s when the Soviet Union and the United States were competing in the space race…”

Russia Holds Black Sea Navy Drills With Eye on US Ships

November 3, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “Russia’s Black Sea naval forces practiced destroying enemy targets on Tuesday as Moscow bristled at the presence of two U.S. warships in the area.

President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that Russian forces could observe the USS Mount Whitney navy command ship ‘through binoculars or in the crosshairs of its … defense systems’ and complained about NATO activity near Russia’s borders.

On Tuesday, the Black Sea fleet said its ships had rehearsed destroying enemy targets and that their air defense systems had been put on alert at its bases in Novorossiysk and on annexed Crimea, the Interfax news agency reported.

‘They … destroyed airborne targets of a mock enemy with anti-aircraft missile weapons and artillery,’ it said in a statement.

Russia has previously warned Western countries against sending warships to the Black Sea and approaching the coast of Crimea, the peninsula it annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Russia considers Crimea part of its territory, but the peninsula is internationally recognized as part of Ukraine…”  (Russia is warming up for Armageddon.
