Russian strategic bombers take off for possible attack on Ukraine, Ukraine’s military warns

August 19, 2025 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Two Russian Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bombers took off from Russian airfields for a possible attack on Ukraine, the Ukrainian military warned in a post on Telegram early on Tuesday morning.

‘We will provide additional updates if the situation changes,’ they added. Air raid warning signals should not be ignored, the military commented.

The military later claimed that ‘probable launches’ of cruise missiles from Russian strategic bombers were detected…”  (Russia will head up World War III – Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Trump suggests air support but no troops for Ukraine’s security

August 20, 2025 — SpaceWar.com reports: “President Donald Trump said the United States would provide air support for Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression, but not U.S. troops on the ground.

If the war in Ukraine ends soon, U.S. air support would be available to help ensure its security instead of making Ukraine a NATO member, Trump said on Monday evening.

‘When it comes to security, they are willing to put people on the ground,’ Trump said of Ukraine’s European neighbors in a Fox News interview, as reported by The Hill.

‘We’re willing to help them with things, especially … by air because nobody has [the] stuff we have,’ Trump said.

White House press secretary Karolin Leavitt on Tuesday confirmed Trump ‘definitively’ opposes deploying U.S. troops to Ukraine, The Hill reported.

Instead, Ukraine’s European neighbors and others might support peace by deploying troops there, Axios reported on Tuesday…”

UK considering ‘boots on the ground’ in Ukraine

August 20, 2025 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Britain is still ready ‘to consider putting boots on the ground’ to shore up any peace deal in Ukraine, the UK’s Defence Minister Jonathan Healey said Wednesday.

‘The prime minister has made clear that he’s ready to consider putting UK boots on the ground in the circumstances of a negotiated peace,’ Healey told ITV television channel.

His comments came as NATO military chiefs from the alliance’s 32 member countries were to hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday.

The military head of NATO’s forces in Europe, US General Alexus Grynkewich, was to give an update ‘on the current security environment’ as ‘diplomatic efforts to secure peace in Ukraine progress’, the head of the alliance’s military committee said…”
