Jordan’s Foreign Minister: There is no Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount

May 11, 2022 — Israel National News reports: “Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan, on Tuesday downplayed Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s statement that all decisions regarding the Temple Mount will be made by Israel’s leadership.

‘Israel has no sovereignty over the holy places in Jerusalem, this is occupied Palestinian land. Israel is an occupying force that is blocking moves taken by the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments in order to maintain security and peace in Al-Aqsa,’ Safadi claimed in interviews with Jordanian media.

He accused Israel of preventing Waqf members from fulfilling their task. ‘Our message is one: Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine, a sovereign state that must be established within the 1967 borders. This is the only way to achieve lasting peace.’

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett pushed back on reports that Israel has agreed to a Jordanian request expanding Muslim control over the Temple Mount…”  (Genesis 15:18 states: In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates  and in Joshua 1:4 we read: From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.  These verses encompass all of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Clashes break out as nearly 1,000 Jews visit Temple Mount on Independence Day

May 5, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Clashes broke out between Arab visitors and Israeli security forces at the Temple Mount on Thursday, as 950 Jews visited the site on Independence Day after a nearly two-week closure.

Arab rioters threw stones and other objects at police, lightly injuring two officers, as security forces secured the Jewish visitors. Arab visitors at the site shouted and cursed at the Jewish visitors.

The Jerusalem Post joined the Jewish visits on Thursday morning, as hundreds of Jewish visitors entered the site. Police rushed the groups of visitors through the complex quickly, not allowing them to stop at points where they are usually allowed to stop to give short sermons and sometimes pray silently.

According to the Temple Mount Administration, the number of Jewish visitors was nearly four times larger than the number recorded on the Independence Day before the coronavirus outbreak…”

Satellite images show Syria site ‘completely destroyed’ in raid attributed to Israel

May 16, 2022 — The Times of Israel reports: “An Israeli satellite company and intelligence firm published images Sunday it said showed the damage at an underground facility in Syria from airstrikes days earlier that were attributed to Israel.

On Friday night at least five people were killed and seven others were hurt in the alleged Israeli airstrike in the northwestern Masyaf region of Syria, the country’s state news agency said. Other media in the country said six were killed, all crew members of a Pantsir air defense system who attempted to take down the purported Israeli missiles.

ImageSat International (ISI) said the airstrikes targeted an apparent underground facility. ‘The structures were used as an entrance to underground tunnels. ISI has detected that the structures have been completely destroyed,’ the firm said…”  (President al-Assad had better beware – there is a prophecy in Isaiah that has yet to be fulfilled: “The burden of Damascus.  Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap” – Isaiah 17:1.  Damascus is widely believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, but God’s Word declares that will end.)
