THE GROWING NUCLEAR THREAT

Russia says does not plan nuclear escalation, but others should not test its patience

April 27, 2023 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Russia does not intend to take the path of nuclear escalation in its standoff with the West over Ukraine but others should not test its patience, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

Her comments follow a flurry of warnings by senior Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, that Western military support for Ukraine is increasing the risks of a catastrophic nuclear conflict.

‘We will do everything to prevent the development of events according to the worst scenario, but not at the cost of infringing on our vital interests,’ Zakharova told a regular news conference.

‘I do not recommend that anybody doubt our determination and put it to the test in practice,’ she added…”  (A huge nuclear war is prophesied multiplied times in God’s Word.  Revelation 9:14 – 18 depicts Armageddon: Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.  And Revelation 16:16 tells of the longest and final battle of the ages.)

China pushes largest-ever expansion of nuclear arsenal

April 26, 2023 — SpaceWar.com reports: “China is pushing ahead with the largest-ever expansion of its nuclear arsenal, modernising the atomic deterrent with an eye on any future conflicts with the United States, experts say.

The SIPRI think tank estimates that China has a stockpile of around 350 nuclear warheads — small fry when compared with the United States and Russia.

But it is growing fast, and could have 1,500 warheads by 2035, according to a Pentagon estimate published in November.

‘China appears to no longer be satisfied with just a few hundred nuclear weapons to ensure its security,’ Matt Korda, of the Federation of American Scientists, told AFP.

Since its first nuclear test in 1964, China has been content to maintain a comparatively modest arsenal and has maintained that it will never be the first to use nuclear weapons in a conflict.

But in recent years, under President Xi Jinping, it has begun a massive military modernisation drive that includes upgrading its nuclear weapons to not only deter foes but also be able to counter-attack if deterrence fails…”  (China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – [He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Then Psalm 2:6 occurs as God the Father says: …I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Jerusalem].  See the next report.)

North Korea ‘irreversible’ nuclear power: foreign minister

April 21, 2023 — SpaceWar.com reports: “North Korea’s status as a nuclear power is ‘final and irreversible’, Pyongyang’s foreign minister said Friday, slamming a G7 call for Kim Jong Un to give up his nukes entirely.

Pyongyang has conducted another record-breaking string of sanctions-defying launches this year, including test-firing the country’s first solid-fuel ballistic missile this month — a key technical breakthrough for Kim’s military.

Seoul, Washington and the United Nations have all criticised the tests, and this week G7 foreign ministers called for the ‘complete, verifiable, and irreversible abandonment of (North Korea’s) nuclear weapons’.

North Korean foreign minister Choe Son Hui slammed the ‘extremely interventionist’ statement, saying the G7 were ‘malignantly pulling up’ her country’s ‘legitimate exercise of its sovereignty’.

‘The position of the DPRK as a world-class nuclear power is final and irreversible,’ Choe said in a statement carried by the official KCNA, referring to North Korea by the initials of its official name…”
