Chinese military conducts war games in South China Sea

December 21, 2015 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “China’s military conducted war games in the disputed South China Sea this week, an official newspaper said Friday, as tensions simmer over Beijing’s island-building in the region.

China insists it has sovereignty over virtually all of the resource-rich South China Sea, conflicting with the various claims of Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Brunei.

Warships, submarines, early warning aircraft and fighter jets were deployed in exercises that occurred over a ‘range of several thousand kilometres’, the People’s Liberation Army Daily said.

They were split into red and blue teams that practised deflecting anti-ship missile attacks and scenarios that included one of an accidental strike on a third-party commercial ship, it added.

‘Only by experiencing a variety of difficult situations can one not panic in the midst of war and win,’ the paper quoted Li Xiaoyan, deputy chief of staff of the South China Sea fleet and commander of the red team, as saying…”  (Armageddon is to be fought soon.  Russia leads it – Ezekiel 38 & 39; China joins them – Revelation 16:12 as well as the Muslim world – Isaiah 17:1; Ezekiel 38; 39:6; Isaiah chapters 13 – 23; and Psalm 83:4 – 8.  Psalm 83:4 states: “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”  See the next three reports as a united Oriental alliance march with Russia and Islam.)

North Korea’s Kim Says He Is Ready For War

January 1, 2016 — Sky News reports: “North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un has said in a New Year speech that he is ready for war if provoked by ‘invasive’ outsiders.

In only his fourth speech since taking over from his father, he said: ‘If invasive outsiders and provocateurs touch us even slightly, we will not be forgiving in the least and sternly answer with a merciless, holy war of justice.’

He called on his military to work on developing technologies with the aim of having more ‘diversified attack means’…”

North Korea says conducted ‘successful’ H-bomb test

January 6, 2016 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “North Korea said Wednesday it had carried out a ‘successful’ hydrogen bomb test, a claim that — if true — massively raises the stakes over the hermit state’s banned nuclear programme.

International condemnation was swift with neighbours South Korea and Japan decrying a gross violation of UN Security Council resolutions, while the White House said it was still studying the precise nature of the apparent test and vowed to ‘respond appropriately’.

‘The republic’s first hydrogen bomb test has been successfully performed at 10:00 am (0330 GMT),’ North Korean state television announced.

‘With the perfect success of our historic H-bomb, we have joined the rank of advanced nuclear states,’ it said, adding that the test was of a miniaturised device.

A hydrogen, or thermonuclear bomb, uses fusion in a chain reaction that results in a far more powerful explosion than the fission blast generated by uranium or plutonium alone…”

North Korea’s ‘Successful’ Hydrogen Bomb Test Met with Skepticism

January 6, 2016 — Voice of America News reports: “In a surprise and rare televised announcement over state television KCNA, North Korea said it successfully conducted a thermonuclear hydrogen bomb test Wednesday. Pyongyang’s announcement was met with widespread skepticism.

‘We’ve now become a nuclear state that also holds a hydrogen bomb,’ said the KCNA announcer.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 5.1 magnitude earthquake near Punggye-ri, where North Korea conducted three previous nuclear tests in 2006, 2009 and 2013.

Last month Kim Jong Un’s claim that his country possesses a hydrogen bomb was widely discounted as unsubstantiated…”
