China is ‘threat to world’ says dissident writer

April 5, 2019 — SinoDaily.com reports: “A dissident writer dubbed the ‘Chinese Solzhenitsyn’ said Friday that his homeland is a ‘threat for the whole world’.

Liao Yiwu, who was jailed for writing a poem called ‘Massacre’ about the Tiananmen Square protests, told AFP that it would be better for mankind if the economic superpower ‘splits up’.

‘My dream is that China splits up into 10 or so countries. Because China as it is today is a threat for the whole world,’ he said as his latest book, ‘Balls of Opium’, was published in France.

The book, which has been banned in China, recounts the stories of dozens of victims of the Tiananmen massacre, when troops killed thousands of pro-democracy protesters in Beijing in 1989.

The massacre, which is also known as the ‘June Fourth Incident’, is a major taboo in China…”  (Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 predict the union of Russia and China [Revelation 16:12; Daniel 11:44] as leaders in the battle for the greatest war in history called Armageddon – Revelation 16:16.  Revelation 9:14 – 18 pictures its upcoming disastrous results.  See the next report.)

China, Arab states eye closer cooperation on satellite navigation to build “Space Silk Road”

April 4, 2019 — GPSDaily.com reports: “Chinese and Arab officials and experts on Monday envisioned building a ‘Space Silk Road’ through closer cooperation on wider application of China’s indigenously made BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) in the Middle East.

Speaking at the second China-Arab States BDS Cooperation Forum held in the Tunisian capital Tunis, the officials and experts agreed that increased application of the BDS in the region could elevate the China-Arab strategic cooperation to a higher level to benefit both sides.

‘The BDS cooperation is the best example for the strategic cooperation between China and Arab states, as satellite navigation integrates many hi-tech areas, including telecommunication and space technologies,’ Slim Khalbous, Tunisian minister of higher education and scientific research, told the audience at the forum.

‘This is an important opportunity for Tunisia, while the BDS cooperation also means the further upgrade of the China-Arab relations,’ the minister said, noting that Tunisia strongly supports its cooperation with China on the BDS application…”

China’s dire clampdown on religious freedom

April 5, 2019 — AsiaTimes.com reports: “Containing and controlling religion has always been a vicious, violent and frequently deadly objective of the Chinese Communist Party.

And that contest has become ever more emotionally charged in recent years as hundreds of millions of Chinese people seek the spiritual and communal solace the CCP no longer offers in its new format as an authoritarian oligarchy.

The CCP sees religious organizations, especially those with firm regional or national roots, as potential challengers to the party’s authority.

Since 1989, when the pro-reform demonstrations in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square inspired similar uprisings in at least 200 other cities across China, the CCP has been on watch for any movement that might build a national organization…”  (In 2017 China elevated the stature of President Xi Jinping putting him on par with Chairman Mao Zedong who founded the People’s Republic of China in 1949, making him in essence emperor for life, he can stay in power as long as his health allows.  In November of 2017 China told Christians to replace images of Jesus with images of President Jinping in an effort to transform believers in religion into believers of the Communist Party of China.  President Jinping should read the book of Daniel to see what happened to a king who elevated himself: “The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?  While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.  And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.  The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.  And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:  And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? ” – Daniel 4:30-35.  See the next report.)

Major Chinese city offers bounty on Christian leaders

April 7, 2019 — WND.com reports: “Persecution of Christians may have started some 2,000 year ago, but it doesn’t seem to be letting up here in the 21st century.

A major city in China has initiated a new tactic to curb Christian faith in the communist nation, offering citizens $1,500 for information leading to the arrest of foreign clerics.

The South China Morning Post in Hong Kong reported Guangzhou officials have proposed a variety of rewards for information that helps the government control Christianity.

Churches already must register with the government to operate. Independent groups, sometimes known as house churches even though they may include thousands of people, regularly face restrictions and their pastors arrest.

Some of their buildings have been demolished.

Now, Guangzhou has become the first major city in China to offer rewards for turning in people engaged in ‘illegal religious activities.’…”

North Korea Tests ‘Tactical Guided Weapon’ with ‘Powerful Warhead’

April 18, 2019 — Breitbart.com reports: “North Korea on Wednesday announced the test of a ‘new tactical guided weapon’ with a ‘powerful warhead,’ personally supervised by dictator Kim Jong-un. It was North Korea’s first weapons test since the second summit between Kim and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Pyongyang’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) hyped the test as an event of ‘very weighty significance,’ but it apparently was not significant enough to show up on any U.S. military monitoring systems. A defense official told CNBC on Wednesday night that the U.S. Strategic Command ‘did not detect a missile launch from North Korea.’

The term ‘tactical’ sounds ominous, but it refers to short-range missiles of the type North Korea is not banned from developing under U.N. Security Council resolutions. A test of short-range weapons flying at low altitudes probably would not be detected from outside North Korea.

‘The design indexes of the tactical guided weapon, whose advantages are appreciated for the peculiar mode of guiding flight and the load of a powerful warhead, were perfectly verified at the test-fire conducted in various modes of firing at different targets,’ KCNA claimed…”  (Ezekiel 38:5 predicts that Russia, the Orient, and Persia [which changed its name to Iran in 1932] will see millions destroyed through atomic warfare in the Latter Years and Latter Days – Ezekiel 38:8, 16. Prepare to meet thy God Israel – Amos 4:12. This battle is described in Revelation 9:14 – 18: “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.”  See the next two reports.)

U.S. says North Korean test not a ballistic missile

April 19, 2019 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “A weapons test announced by North Korea was not of a ballistic missile, the US defense chief said Thursday, adding that US forces have not changed their posture in response.

‘There was a test,’ Patrick Shanahan, the acting defense secretary, told reporters as he met his Albanian counterpart at the Pentagon.

He declined to elaborate on the findings of US intelligence but said, ‘It’s not a ballistic missile.’

‘Also there’s no change to our posture or to our operations,’ he said.

North Korean state media earlier announced that leader Kim Jong Un had supervised the test-firing of a new tactical weapon with a ‘powerful warhead,’ hailing what it called a contribution of ‘very weighty significance’ to its arsenal.

Analysts have speculated that the test could have involved anything from a small anti-tank missile to relatively routine artillery, with a South Korean official also saying that the country saw no sign of a ballistic missile…”

Kim Slams ‘Hostile Forces’ for Sanctions on North Korea

April 11, 2019 — Voice of America News reports: “Kim Jong Un slammed ‘hostile forces’ that imposed sanctions on his country, North Korean state media reported Thursday, just hours before a crucial South Korea-U.S. summit in Washington.

Kim vowed to continue socialist economic reforms ‘so as to deal a telling blow to the hostile forces who go with bloodshot eyes miscalculating that sanctions can bring the DPRK to its knees,’ the official Korean Central News Agency reported, using the country’s official acronym…”
