North Korea tells United Nations it is a ‘responsible nuclear state’
January 23, 2025 — SpaceWar.com reports: “North Korea defended its right to maintain a nuclear weapons program at a United Nations disarmament conference in Geneva on Tuesday, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump surprised allies by referring to the North as a ‘nuclear power.’
‘As a responsible nuclear weapons state, we will continue to make efforts to prevent all forms of war and to protect peace and stability,’ Jo Chol Su, North Korea’s permanent representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva, said during the conference.
Jo blamed the United States for an ‘astronomical amount of arms buildup and undisguised nuclear proliferation.’
‘The U.S. and its allies keep on supplying high-tech military hardware … resulting in conflicts and bloodshed in many parts of the world,’ Jo said.
The North Korean representative pointed to recent trilateral air exercises held by the United States, South Korea and Japan, which included U.S. B-1B strategic bombers, as creating a dangerous climate in the region…” (Even if North Korea gives up its nuclear weapons, there are enough remaining in the world to create havoc. North Korea says it tested hypersonic intermediate-range missile aimed at remote Pacific targets
January 10, 2025 — Voice of America News reports: “North Korea said Tuesday its latest weapons test was a new hypersonic intermediate-range missile designed to strike remote targets in the Pacific as leader Kim Jong Un vowed to further expand his collection of nuclear-capable weapons to counter rival nations.
The North Korean state media report came a day after South Korea’s military said it detected North Korea launching a missile that flew 1,100 kilometers (685 miles) before landing in waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. The launch, conducted weeks before Donald Trump returns as U.S. president, came off a torrid year in weapons testing.
North Korea demonstrated multiple weapons systems last year that can target its neighbors and the United States, including solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missiles, and there are concerns that its military capabilities could advance further through technology transfers from Russia, as the two countries align over the war in Ukraine.
North Korea in recent years has flight tested various intermediate-range missiles, which if perfected, could reach the U.S. Pacific military hub of Guam. In recent months, North Korea has been testing combining these missiles with purported hypersonic warheads to improve their survivability…” (China and North Korea are prophesied to be top contenders and bloody warriors during the battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. North Korea’s Kim says new hypersonic missile will deter ‘rivals’
January 7, 2025 — SpaceWar.com reports: “North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un said it tested a new hypersonic missile this week aimed at deterring the country’s Pacific rivals, state media reported Tuesday, as Washington’s top diplomat visited the region.
The test came two weeks before the inauguration of US president-elect Donald Trump, who previously tried to woo North Korea, and coincided with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to the South.
‘The hypersonic missile system will reliably contain any rivals in the Pacific region that can affect the security of our state,’ Kim, who oversaw the launch, said in comments carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Tuesday.
KCNA cited the use of a ‘new compound of carbon fibre’ in the missile’s engine, which experts warned could allow Pyongyang to hit further targets with technology to which only the United States, Russia and China currently have access.
The launch also used a ‘new comprehensive and effective method’ for its flight and guidance control system, KCNA said…”
