THE NUCLEAR THREAT

Pakistan Announces Successful Test of Nuclear-Capable Ballistic Missile

January 21, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “Pakistan said Wednesday that it had successfully test-fired a medium-range ballistic missile into the Arabian Sea, aimed at ‘revalidating’ the weapon’s operational and technical parameters.

The Shaheen III surface-to-surface missile, which the country first fired in 2015, can carry nuclear and conventional warheads up to 2,750 kilometers.

The range, analysts said, enables the solid-fueled, multistage rocket to reach targets anywhere in neighboring India, Pakistan’s archrival, and in parts of the Middle East.

The military said its top commanders, including the head of the Strategic Plans Division (SPD) that oversees Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program, witnessed Wednesday’s ‘successful flight test, with its impact point in the Arabian Sea.’ It shared no further details…”  A huge nuclear war is prophesied multiplied times in God’s Word.  Revelation 9:14 – 18 depicts Armageddon: Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.  And Revelation 16:16 tells of the longest and final battle of the ages.  See the next three reports.)

North Korea displays new ballistic missile

January 15, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “North Korea displayed what appeared to be a new submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) at a parade on Thursday, Reuters reported, citing state media.

The country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, smiled and waved as he oversaw the parade in Pyongyang’s Kim Il Sung Square, photos by state media showed.

The parade featured rows of marching soldiers, as well as a range of military hardware including tanks and rocket launchers, according to Reuters.

At the end, a number of what analysts said appeared to be new variants of short-range ballistic missiles and SLBMs rolled into the square on trucks.

‘The world’s most powerful weapon, submarine-launch ballistic missiles, entered the square one after another, powerfully demonstrating the might of the revolutionary armed forces,’ the country’s news agency KCNA reported…”

North Korea’s Kim pledges to strengthen nuclear arsenal

January 13, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “North Korean leader Kim Jong Un pledged to strengthen his country’s nuclear arsenal as he delivered his closing address to a top ruling party meeting, state television showed Wednesday, days before Joe Biden takes office as US president.

Kim is looking to grab the attention of the incoming Biden administration, analysts say, with his country more isolated than ever after closing its borders to protect itself against the coronavirus pandemic.

A nuclear summit between Kim and outgoing US President Donald Trump in Hanoi in February 2019 broke down over sanctions relief and what Pyongyang would be willing to give up in return…”

European powers warn Iran over uranium metal plans

January 18, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “European powers on Saturday voiced deep concern over Iran’s plans to produce uranium metal, warning that Tehran has ‘no credible civilian use’ for the element.

‘The production of uranium metal has potentially grave military implications,’ said the foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany in a joint statement.

Iran had signed up to a 15-year ban on ‘producing or acquiring plutonium or uranium metals or their alloys’ under the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) signed in 2015 with world powers.

‘We strongly urge Iran to halt this activity, and return to compliance with its JCPoA commitments without further delay if it is serious about preserving the deal,’ said the ministers…”
