Medvedev Orders Security Forces to Crush Militants


Voice of America News reports: “Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is ordering his security forces to crush Islamic insurgents in the Caucasus, saying their criminal activities must be wiped out.

The president met with security officials as Russian authorities announced that airstrikes and an attack on a rebel base in Ingushetia killed 17 militants.

The authorities say Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov, who has been charged in the January Moscow airport suicide bombing, may be among the dead. Officials are carrying out DNA tests for confirmation.

Russian officials say the militants killed in the operation were training suicide bombers.

Mr. Medvedev said all those he calls bandits and scoundrels must realize that they can either give up or stay and be destroyed…” (Hurray! Go to it Medvedev!)


Russia’s military space activity increases


SpaceDaily.com reports: “Russia’s military space forces in 2010 intensified the level of their activities.

These included maintaining and strengthening the military preparedness of the military’s various space units, including the unit responsible for the orbital grouping of spacecraft (KA), ground units of the military’s missile attack warning forces (PRN), space surveillance (KKP) and missile defense (PRO) systems, in addition to spacecraft launch and control units.

In 2010 the PRN, KKP and PRO operational forces detected and tracked more than 30 launches both of Russian and foreign space rockets and ballistic missiles, Russia’s Ministry of Defense newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda reported.

Last year Space Troops combat teams carried out and supported six classified spacecraft launches supporting Russian Defense Ministry interests.

Ministry of Defense Space Troops also assisted in 18 launches of spacecraft designed to support of Russia’s Federal Space Program Global’naia Navigatsionnaia Sputnikovaia Sistema, the Russian counterpart to the Western Global Positioning System, along with other international cooperation programs and commercial projects…” (Russia, as mentioned earlier is preparing for World War III and is building massive weaponry for the battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russian Military To Buy 36 ICBMs, 2 Missile Subs In 2011


SpaceDaily.com reports: “The Russian Defense Ministry will buy 36 strategic ballistic missiles, two strategic missile submarines and 20 strategic cruise missiles this year, Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said.

Over 19 trillion rubles ($665 billion) has been set aside for the state arms procurement program, Serdyukov told a military board meeting attended by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

The budget will also cover spacecraft (5), warplanes (35), helicopters (109), missile defense systems (21), multirole nuclear powered submarines (3) and a surface warship, he said…”
