A boat-shaped formation in eastern Turkey has produced its most detailed underground readings in decades. Ground-penetrating radar equipment brought from the United States has detected multiple anomalies beneath the Durupinar formation in Ağrı province, including cavities and structures that intersect at right angles across several underground levels. Soil samples pulled from inside the formation have also shown carbon levels roughly 40 percent higher than samples taken outside it. Researchers say the combined data are pushing them toward answers that six decades of speculation have failed to produce.An administration official said that Trump’s “position has not changed … the agreement will only move forward if Saudi Arabia joins the Abraham Accords.” The White House did not answer questions about how the administration will prevent the signed deal from going into force after 90 days.
