UNSC RESOLUTION 2334

Chief Rabbi: U.S. has forsaken Israel, we can trust only in the Lord

December 29, 2016The Times of Israel reports: “The US has forsaken Israel, and the Jewish state can now place its trust only in God, Israel’s Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef said Wednesday, as Jerusalem and Washington continued to face off over Friday’s United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements.

‘Sometimes, we need to be reminded from above that we can count on no one but our Father who art in heaven,’ Yosef told followers at the Western Wall. ‘Even America… forsook us last week at the UN.’

He added: ‘We mustn’t forget that the hearts of kings and captains are in the hands of the Lord, and we can count on no one but (the Lord).’

US Secretary of State John Kerry again criticized Israel’s settlement policies in a speech a major address on the way ahead for the Mideast peace process at the State Department on Wednesday.

Furthermore, an official in Jerusalem told The Times of Israel on Tuesday, the government expects more US-led maneuvers at the UN that are critical of the Jewish state…”  (How sad that America has turned her back on Israel.  Ours was the first nation to recognize the sovereign state of Israel in 1948, but in the last eight years we have moved further and further away.  God promised to Abraham: “…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing:  and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” – Genesis 12:2, 3. The Obama Administration has left America in a precarious position by not vetoing Resolution 2334.)

Fatah thanks UN members for giving it ‘permission’ to kill Jews

December 26, 2016Israel National News reports: “Fatah’s official Facebook page posted a picture of ‘Palestine’ last week. The picture includes the entirety of Israel painted in the colors of the PLO flag, being used to stab the word ‘settlement,’ Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported.

The text above the image reads ‘#Palestine will defeat the settlement.’

After the UN Security Council unanimously voted to adopt a resolution condemning any and all Jewish presence over the 1949 armistice lines, Fatah published an updated version of the same picture, this time with the words ‘thank you’ added above the names of the 14 countries which voted in favor of the resolution. A puddle of blood was also added to the bottom of the picture.

According to PMW, the image shows that ‘Fatah is saying more Israelis will pay with their lives as a result of the UN resolution.’…” (“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” – Psalm 83:4.  It won’t work, Israel is here forever under the eternal rule of Christ in the New Jerusalem.  All Christians join with Israel for this joyous 1,000 years – “…I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” – Revelation 21:2 – 4.  See the next report.)

Hamas, Islamic Jihad Terror Groups Praise UN Anti-Israel Resolution

December 26, 2016Breitbart.com reports: “Palestinian terrorist factions, including the Islamist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad, welcomed the UN Security Council resolution condemning Israel’s settlement policy and branding Jewish homes in the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem as illegal and dangerous to the so-called two-state solution.

The Palestinian jihadist organizations said the motion represented an important sea change in the international position on the conflict and a crucial victory for the Palestinian people.

Hamas, which does not support the two-state solution, lauded the countries that voted for the motion, saying they backed the Palestinian people’s rights.

The organization’s spokesperson Fawzi Barhoum stated that ‘Hamas commends the countries that voiced their opposition to the Israeli occupation’s aggressive settlement policy aimed against the Palestinian people.’ He further added that he lauds ‘the important about-face in the international position in favor of the Palestinian people. We expect further support for the Palestinians’ righteous cause of ending the occupation.’

The Iran-backed Islamic Jihad announced that the UNSC resolution is ‘a clear condemnation of Israel’s occupation and aggression, and a victory for the Palestinian people, securing a global consensus in their favor.’…”

Bennett tells Kerry: Pick up your Bible and Read it

December 29, 2016 — Israel National News reports: “Education Minister and Jewish Home Party head Naftali Bennett responded Wednesday to Secretary of State Kerry’s call for a ‘viable two state solution.’ Bennett said that ‘Kerry quoted me three times anonymously in his speech in order to demonstrate that we oppose a Palestinian state.’

‘So let me state it explicitly:’

‘Yes. If it depends on me, we will not establish another terror state in the heart of our country. The citizens of Israel have paid with thousands of victims, tens of thousands of rockets and innumerable condemnations for the utopian idea of a Palestinian state. It’s time for a new policy and we will lead the way.’

Earlier, Bennett sent a sharp message to Secretary of State Kerry on the eve of his policy speech regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.

‘A few days ago the UN Security Council voted for a shameful resolution stating that Jerusalem is occupied territory,’ the minister said.

‘Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital for 3,000 years. That is in the Bible, open it and read. We, the Jews, have been lighting the menorah for 2170 years in Jerusalem. We say ‘Next year in Jerusalem’ every Passover. We lit the menorah 1,000 years ago in Russia and Morocco and said ‘Next year in Jerusalem.’ We lit the menorah 72 years ago near the Auschwitz crematoria and said ‘Next year in Jerusalem.’‘

‘Mr. Secretary: No UN decision or speech will change the fact that Jerusalem was and will always be the Israeli capital.’…”  (Amen!  The angel Gabriel announced to Mary: “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David; And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” – Luke 1:32, 33.  In the Davidic Covenant recorded in II Samuel 7:12 – 16; God promised that David’s house, kingdom, and throne would be established forever.  It is on that throne, in Jerusalem, that Jesus will reign for the Millennial Kingdom and for all eternity.)

US House passes motion repudiating UN resolution on Israel

January 6, 2017The Times of Israel reports: “The US House of Representatives passed a scathing rebuke Thursday night to a United Nations Security Council resolution the Obama administration allowed through last month that condemned Israeli settlements as illegal.

House Resolution 11 declared the UN motion a ‘one-sided’ effort that is an obstacle to peace, placing disproportionate blame on Israel for the continuation of the conflict and discouraging Palestinians from engaging in direct, bilateral negotiations.

Passed by a vote of 342-80, the measure puts the lower chamber of Congress firmly against President Barack Obama’s decision to withhold the US veto power from shielding Israel against the censure.

UN Resolution 2334 says the settlement enterprise ‘has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law’ and calls for a complete end to all construction in areas Israel captured after the 1967 Six Day War, including East Jerusalem.

It also calls on all states ‘to distinguish, in their relevant dealings, between the territory of the State of Israel and the territories occupied since 1967’ — language that Israel fears will lead to a surge in boycott and sanctions efforts, and that an Israeli official warned would provide ‘a tailwind for terror.’

The House resolution condemned that provision, saying it ‘effectively lends legitimacy to efforts by the Palestinian Authority to impose its own solution through international organizations and through unjustified boycotts or divestment campaigns against Israel.’…”  (Thank God for the motion that the U.S. House has passed – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” – Psalms 122:6.)
