WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?

Erdogan: Whoever is on Israel’s side, we are against them

July 29, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday that his country will oppose anyone who supports Israel.

Erdogan made the comments while addressing senior provincial officials from his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara. He was quoted by Iran’s Press TV.

‘Whoever is on the side of Israel, let everyone know that we are against them,’ stated Erdogan.

Erdogan added that Turkey will continue to promote the Palestinian cause regardless of efforts to undermine it mainly by supporters of the Israeli regime.

‘We do not approve of silence on the state terror that Israel blatantly carries out in Palestine,’ said the Turkish president, according to Press TV…”  (President Erdogan, to quote from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade; you ‘choose poorly.’  “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.  I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.   Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.  Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him” – Psalm 2:1-12.)

IRGC commander: Hezbollah can destroy Israel alone

August 15, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Iranian Revolutionary Guards Commander Hossein Salami declared on Wednesday that the Hezbollah terrorist organization ‘has acquired capabilities in Syria that allow it to destroy Israel alone’, i24News reports.

Salami also addressed the escalating tensions with the United States following the back-and-forth seizures of tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s breaches of the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.

‘The Iranian people forgot about talking to the United States and removed it from his thought,’ he was quoted as having said in reference to suggestions in recent weeks of possible talks between the nations following international calls to reduce tensions.

Salami went so far as to say that ‘negotiating with the US is not the way to resolve [matters],’ arguing that simply having talks with the US will only increase the pressure and demands on the Ayatollah regime ‘to make us surrender.’

The comments follow a warning earlier this week by a Lebanese parliamentarian from Hezbollah who claimed that Israel is preparing to start a war against Lebanon…”  (This will never happen.  Almighty God has stated: “…I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off” – Isaiah 56:5.  Everlasting means everlasting.  God promised to Abraham in Genesis 22:17: “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the starts of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore…”    “And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt; To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.  Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.  Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever” – Deuteronomy 4:37 – 40.  See the next report.)

Head of Iran’s Quds Force threatens Israel

August 26, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Qassem Soleimani, head of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, threatened Israel on Sunday after the Jewish state thwarted a planned Iranian drone attack.

‘These insane operations will surely be the last steps of the Zionist regime,’ he wrote on Twitter.

Israeli aircraft struck Iranian military targets in the village of Aqraba, southeast of Damascus, where the drone operation was centered.

At least five people were killed, including Hezbollah terrorists and at least one Iranian official, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor group…”  (Queen Victoria asked her Jewish prime minister, Benjamin Disraeli, “Can you give me one verse in the Bible that will prove its truth?”

He replied, “Your Majesty, I will give you one word — Jew! If there was nothing else to prove the truth of the Bible, the history of the Jews is sufficient.”

The survival of the Jews is a miracle. Scattered among the nations, despised by kings and generals who tried to destroy them, they have endured as a people. Why?

The reason for the preservation of the Jewish race is found in the Bible. While their trials were foretold by the ancient prophets, so was their ultimate triumph. The same Book that announced their coming dispersion guaranteed their return to the land God had promised them: “Hear the word of the LORD, 0 ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10).

So the future of the Jews has always been sure. Efforts to destroy them as a race have been futile because they are destined to play an important role in end-time events. Actually, the Jews have been and still remain the most secure race on earth. The Hamans and Hitlers of history have come and gone, but the Jews remain. That is consistent with the message of the Bible: “Though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished” (Jeremiah 30:11).

This tiny scattered people, moving through the nations of the world, has had such a definite date with destiny that no power on earth could destroy them.

Further, the future of Israel was pronounced by Jeremiah to be as certain as the laws of the universe:

Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord“(Jeremiah 31:35-37).  See the next report.)

‘We will rain hundreds of rockets on Israel in a single barrage’

August 14, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, met Tuesday night with residents of Gaza’s Khan Yunis to talk about Blue and White leader MK Benny Gantz’s statements, Israel Hayom reported.

‘I call on Benny Gantz to remember how the IDF failed in its conflict with residents of eastern Gaza during Operation Protective Edge, when he was Chief of Staff,’ Sinwar said. ‘During the next conflict with Israel, we will rain hundreds of rockets in a single barrage.’

Sinwar also said that his terror organization is not interested in war or in another round of military conflict, Israel Hayom noted. However, he also emphasized that ‘our fighters and heroic activists in the military arm are gathering strength, digging tunnels, and protecting our ability to fire hundreds of rockets at Israel.’…”

Abbas: ‘We’ll enter Jerusalem as millions of fighters’

August 22, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said in an address at the Jalazun Refugee Camp near Ramallah that the ‘Palestinians’ cannot be removed from their homeland and that every building built by the Zionist occupation will be destroyed and thrown in the garbage bin of history, reports the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

In the video, uploaded to Abbas’ Facebook page on August 10, he claimed that the ‘Palestinians’ are the Canaanites who have lived in Palestine for 5,000 years, and he rejected the conferences in Warsaw and Manama as unacceptable to the ‘Palestinian people’.

He said that Jerusalem belongs to the ‘Palestinians’, and the audience began to chant: ‘To Jerusalem we march, martyrs by the millions!’…”  (Although its history is one of war and destruction, Jerusalem means “city of peace” or “foundation of peace.”

From the siege of David in 1000 B.C. to the Six Day War of 1967, the sounds of battle have been heard as this city has experienced 46 sieges and 32 partial destructions. It has been burned to the ground five times, always rising from the ashes. It is the site of the most volatile political, religious, and military problems in the entire world.

The Jewish cry for peace in Jerusalem is sincere, finding its roots in the promise given through Moses (Leviticus 26:6). Jerusalem will finally become the city of peace and capital of the world when Christ, who is our peace, returns (Isaiah 9:6).

Having a history of 4,000 years, Jerusalem was first mentioned in Scripture in Genesis 14:18 when Melchizedek was king over the city of Salem. Later, it was called Jebus, named for the third son of Canaan, as it was the dwelling place of the Jebusites (Judges 19:10, 11; 1 Chronicles 11:4, 5).

When David took the city, the fortress was on a hill called Zion, another name given Jerusalem. Somehow, later, Jeru was added to Salem … perhaps a combination of Jebus, changed to Jeru, and Salem.

Since B.C. 400, Jerusalem has passed from one Gentile power to another. From 70 A.D. alone, the transition of power went from the Roman conquerors to the Persians in 614; to Caliph Omar in 637; to the Crusaders in 1099; to Saladin in 1187; to the Egyptian Mamelukes in 1250; the Turks in 1517; the British in 1917, and finally, in 1967, the Jews captured Jerusalem.)
