Israel’s Foreign Ministry slams Abbas following UN speech

The Jerusalem Post reports: “Israel’s Foreign Ministry slammed Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas following his address at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in a post to X/Twitter on Wednesday night. 

The ministry highlighted the pin he wore, calling it an ‘unmistakable symbol of his goal of erasing Israel.’ 

‘Abbas’s ‘key’ is the old PLO plan: two states for one Palestinian people and the destruction of the Jewish State. This will not happen.’

Following the US’s denial of a visa to Abbas, the UNGA voted last week to allow the Palestinian president to address the assembly over video. The resolution received 145 votes in favor and five votes against, while six countries abstained…”
