BEATING THE DRUMS OF WAR

Iran: There will be war – and we’ll win

WND.com reports: “Just days after the breakdown of talks with the West over Iran’s nuclear program, the deputy chief commander of the Revolutionary Guards announced that there soon will be war – and that Allah will ensure his forces are victorious.

The last round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany) ended in Moscow without any agreement on Iran’s illicit nuclear program.

Gen. Hossein Salami, in a televised interview, boasted that, ‘Iran has complete control of all the enemy’s interests around the world and is on a path to reach equivalency with world powers.’ The commander emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program is irreversible, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

Salami said war is inevitable, and the Iranian forces are ready…” (Ezekiel 38:5 has Persia, which changed its name to Iran in 1935, aligned with Russia for World War III. They lose – Ezekiel 39:1, 2, 6, 12, and 13. This will make the boastful and arrogant headline above a lot of Iranian hot air. See the next two reports.)

Report: U.S. sends forces to Persian Gulf ahead of possible clash with Iran

Haaretz reports: “The United States is building up its naval power in the Persian Gulf in response to threats by Iranian officials to close the Strait of Hormuz in case of further sanctions, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The report came after U.S. defense officials told the New York Times that American forces have been quietly introduced into the Persian Gulf in an attempt to deter Iran from blocking the strategic waterway, and to increase strike capability in case the nuclear standoff with Iran escalates to a military confrontation.

According to the report, the deployments were meant to bolster the U.S. military presence in the region while reassuring Israel that the Iranian nuclear issue is being handled.

The New York Times report quoted an unnamed ‘senior Defense Department official’ who said, ‘The message to Iran is, ‘Don’t even think about it.’ Don’t even think about sending your fast boats out to harass our vessels or commercial shipping. We’ll put them on the bottom of the gulf.’…”

U.S. warships ‘easy’ target for Iran

WND.com reports: “With no new progress in recent talks in Moscow between Iran and the West along with tougher sanctions being implemented by the European Union against Iranian oil exports, Iran has warned that U.S. naval warships could be ‘easily reached and attacked’ if Israel or the United States attacks Iran’s nuclear sites, according to Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

Recent talks in Moscow that included Britain, China, France, Russia and the U.S. along with Germany – known as the P5+1 who comprise the United Nations Security Council – failed to reach an agreement on Iran’s enrichment program, which the West believes is going to be used to make nuclear weapons…

The warning against U.S. warships that patrol the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz came from General Morteza Miriyan, the deputy lieutenant commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Ground Force for Operations.

He said more than 3,000 boats and dhows are trafficking, fishing and doing trade in the regional waters, and ‘they always go past the U.S. military ships from close distances.’

‘Now, the question is, how does the U.S. want to fight with us, while we enjoy such a backup?’…”

IRGC Warns to Give Crushing Response to Enemy Attack

The Fars News Agency reports: “A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps underlined the Iranian nation’s full preparedness to repel enemy pressures and threats, and reiterated that the IRGC will give a swift and crushing response to any possible enemy attack.

Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said on Thursday that the Iranian Armed Forces and the IRGC ground forces in particular will give a crushing response to any threats against the Islamic Revolution.

The IRGC ground forces are in good combat readiness and are determined to seriously deal with any threat, he said.

Earlier, the IRGC Aerospace Force wrapped up three days of massive missile drills, codenamed Payambar-e Azam 7 (The Great Prophet 7).

Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi had also that the wargames demonstrated the Iranian Armed Forces’ might and capabilities as well as their full knowledge of the vulnerabilities and weak points of those who utter useless threatening remarks against Iran and its Islamic establishment every now and then.

‘The wargames also showed that those who have ill intention for our country should expect to receive this strong response (from Iran),’ Vahidi noted…” (The Judeo-Christian God Yahweh and the Lord Jesus Christ the second member of the Trinity will soon silence the leaders of this terrorist nation – Revelation 11:18. Iran says can destroy U.S. bases “minutes after attack”

Reuters reports: “Iran has threatened to destroy U.S. military bases across the Middle East and target Israel within minutes of being attacked, Iranian media reported as Revolutionary Guards extended test-firing of ballistic missiles into a third day.

Israel has hinted it may attack Iran if diplomacy fails to secure a halt to its disputed nuclear energy program. The United States also has mooted military action as a last-resort option but has frequently nudged the Israelis to give time for intensified economic sanctions to work against Iran.

‘These bases are all in range of our missiles, and the occupied lands (Israel) are also good targets for us,’ Amir Ali Haji Zadeh, commander of the Revolutionary Guards aerospace division, was quoted by Fars news agency as saying.

Haji Zadeh said 35 U.S. bases were within reach of Iran’s ballistic missiles, the most advanced of which commanders have said could hit targets 2,000 km (1,300 miles) away.

‘We have thought of measures to set up bases and deploy missiles to destroy all these bases in the early minutes after an attack,’ he added.

It was not clear where Haji Zadeh got his figures on U.S. bases in the region. U.S. military facilities in the Middle East are located in Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Turkey, and it has around 10 bases further afield in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Defence analysts are often skeptical about what they describe as exaggerated military assertions by Iran and say the country’s military capability would be no match for sophisticated U.S. defence systems…”

MP: Missile Wargames Show Iran’s Superiority over US Bases in Region

The Fars News Agency reports: “A senior Iranian lawmaker lauded the achievements of the recent missile wargames conducted by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and underlined that drills showed Iran’s full information about the US bases in the region.

The IRGC Aerospace Force wrapped up three days of massive missile drills, codenamed Payambar-e Azam 7 (The Great Prophet 7).

The US has received the message of the Great Prophet 7 missile drills, member of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Baqer Hoseini said, and stressed that Iran’s Armed forces have detailed information about US military bases in regional countries.

He added that all military drills by the Iranian Armed Forces signify the full preparedness of the Iranian Armed forces to defend Iran’s territorial integrity…”

Iran Claims ‘War Games’ Test Missile Attack on Israel

Israel National News reports: “Iran claims it tested ‘tens’ of short, medium and large-range missiles at a hypothetical enemy base,’ presumably Israeli and American.

Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, reported that the Guards Aerospace Force missile units ‘fired tens of Shahab 1, 2 and 3, Fateh, Qiyam, Persian Gulf and Zelzal missiles at a hypothetical enemy air base – which IRGC officials had earlier said is a replica of the air bases of the trans-regional powers (the US) – in Iran’s Lut Desert simultaneously.’

‘Long, medium and short-range surface-to-surface missiles will be fired from different locations in Iran… at replica airbases like those used by the trans-regional military forces,’ Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.

The latest ‘Great Prophet 7’ war games ‘appeared to underline Tehran’s threat to strike U.S. military bases in the neighboring countries – in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia – if it comes under attack by Israel or the United States,’ according to Fars.

The ballistic missile is capable of striking Israel, which is within range of the Shahab-3, which Iran claims can strike up to 2,000 kilometers (1,200 miles) away, nearly twice the distance between Iran and Israel…” (Ahmadinejad, present president of Iran and his leaders are all egotistical braggarts. Their goal will be the elimination of Israel – Psalm 83:4 — but they will fail because the True God of the Jews and Christians will give Israel an everlasting name in Isaiah 56:5. Pentagon: Iran boosts missiles’ lethality

The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran’s military has ‘boosted the lethality and effectiveness of existing’ ballistic missile systems with ‘accuracy improvements and new sub-munition payloads,’ according to a Pentagon report. Portions of the document were declassified after having been presented to Congress.

The Pentagon report, obtained by Bloomberg, specifically notes that Iran’s short-range ballistic missiles are evolving toward an operational ability to target sea vessels.

The report, dated June 29, 2012, according to Bloomberg, is signed by US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and says the new Iran abilities ‘extend the destructive power over a wider area than a solid warhead.’

Iran’s military improvements are occurring in parallel with regular ballistic-missile training that ‘continues throughout the country’ and the addition of ‘new ships and submarines,’ the report concluded.

The report repeats the long-standing US assessment that Iran with ‘sufficient foreign assistance may be technically capable of flight-testing’ an intercontinental ballistic missile by 2015…”
