NEWS FROM ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST

‘Army of Islam’ would be world’s biggest military

March 18, 2018 — WND.com reports: “When Turkey’s semi-official newspaper Yeni Safak called for urgent action in forming a 57-nation ‘Army of Islam’ to besiege and attack Israel, a suggestion undoubtedly approved with at least a wink and nod by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it would signal the possible intent to create the largest military force on the planet – one nearly as large as the total population of the Jewish state.

The report came just ahead of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and was published under the headline, ‘What if an Army of Islam was formed against Israel?’ It was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

But it wasn’t a rhetorical question. It was actually a suggestion to combine the military forces of all Islamic countries to overwhelm the Israeli army in manpower, budget and equipment – even boasting with statistics.

On December 12, 2017, ahead of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, the Turkish daily Yeni Şafak, which is close to Erdoğan and his ruling AKP party, published an article titled ‘A Call for Urgent Action,’ which also appeared on the paper’s website under the title ‘What If an Army of Islam Was Formed against Israel?’ The article called on the 57 member states of the OIC to form a joint ‘Army of Islam’ to besiege and attack the state of Israel…”  (The nations may say: “…Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” – Psalm 83:4.  It won’t work.  God declares: “… I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off” – Isaiah 56:5.  See the next two reports.)

Lebanese PM says army to deploy along Israeli border

March 16, 2018 — The Times of Israel reports: “Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced that his country planned to increase its military presence along its southern border with Israel, during a meeting in Rome on Thursday.

‘We will be sending more LAF [Lebanese Armed Forces] troops to the south, and we stress our intention to deploy another regiment,’ he said, according to Reuters.

‘While we are thinking of ways to move from a state of cessation of hostilities to a state of permanent ceasefire, Israel continues to make plans to build walls on reservation areas along the blue line,’ Hariri said, referring to the internationally recognized, but contentious, border between the two countries.

The Lebanese prime minister added that Israel ‘remains the primary threat to Lebanon.’…”

The IDF prepares for all-out war

March 16, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “The IDF concluded a series of massive exercises on Thursday that mimicked all-out war on multiple fronts.

The exercise, which was named ‘Headstone 2018’, began on Sunday and trained the IDF’s General Staff to quickly communicate with their subordinates in the event of sudden war, with a special emphasis placed on the continuous functioning of different command centers and ‘War Rooms’, even while under a missile barrage.

In a parallel exercise, named ‘Steadfastness’, the IDF’s Home Front Command trained to quickly respond to large amounts of missiles hitting Israel, which included working in conjunction with civilian agencies such as MDA, the Israel Police, and the Israel Fire and Rescue Services.

A significant percentage of the drill was dedicated to practicing rescuing civilians trapped in residential buildings, evacuating Israelis to safer areas while under fire and dealing with a leak of hazardous materials. The drill included air raid sirens being heard across Israel on Tuesday morning and evening…”

Former Hamas official says Jews make Hamentashen out of blood

March 4, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “A former Hamas official echoed classic anti-Semitic canards when he claimed that Jews cook non-Jewish blood into the popular Hamesntashen Purim pastry, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported.

Classic blood libels against Jews, the first occurring in Norwich in 1144, accuse them of baking the Passover matzahs with the blood of a Christian child, ignoring the fact that the Torah forbids the consumption of blood. Much Jewish blood has been spilled as a result of these false accusations.

Writing in the Arab Ma’an news service, Mustafa al-Lidawi wrote that Purim is a ‘holiday that the people of Europe hated and detested, wishing that the Jews would leave their countries so they could be saved from their wickedness.’

‘This is because the Jews who lived in Europe would always bake a large pastry on the occasion of the holiday, and everyone would eat it. However, this pastry was mixed with the blood of a victim they chose from among those who were not Jews. Most of the time the victim was a little boy,’ continued Lidawi.

Lidawi said that ‘Because of this, the European peoples loathed the presence of the Jews in their countries and longed for them to leave. For they were the reason for every despicable deed, the mechanism for the commission of every crime, and the source of all social and economic corruption.’…”  (As the article mentions, this “Blood Libel” is nothing new.  The Jewish people have long been blamed for all of the world’s ills.  All throughout history they have been the universal scapegoat.  Incredibly, even the awful plague of the Black Death that swept Europe was blamed on the Jews. They were accused of having poisoned wells with a powder made of spiders, frog legs, Christian entrails, and consecrated hosts (Communion bread). The public wrath that resulted from that fantastic tale brought about the slaughter of thousands of Jews and the complete extermination of two hundred Jewish communities.  This can be traced back to the father of anti-Semitism – Satan who “…stood up against Israel” – I Chronicles 21:1.  God loves His Chosen People – “…I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” – Jeremiah 31:3.)

Iran launches festival to celebrate Israel’s ‘imminent collapse’

February 28, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is gearing up for its first ever ‘International Hourglass Festival’, celebrating what organizers call the ‘imminent collapse’ of the Jewish state.

The symbol chosen to represent the event features an hourglass with a Star of David disintegrating above the words ‘25 Years’ – an apparent reference to the predictions made by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2016 and reiterated by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi in 2017.

According to Iran Front Page, festival organizer and aide to the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the event is intended as a celebration of the imminent collapse of the ‘Zionist regime of Israel’.

‘The Islamic Republic won’t allow the Zionists to play with the security of the sensitive region of Middle East. Iran and its allies in the region, who defeated terrorists, will never allow the Zionists to endanger the region’s security,’ said Amir-Abdollahian.

Organizers announced at a press conference Tuesday that the festival would be held in Tehran in April. Some 2,400 anti-Israel NGOS around the world have agreed to promote the event globally, executive organizer of the festival, Mahdi Qomi, claimed…”  (Sorry Iran, this is utter nonsense according to God’s Holy Word. Isaiah 56:5 states: “I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name…” Also, Christ returns, sits upon David’s Throne in Jerusalem and reigns over the world from Israel – Luke 1:32, 33. It’s Iran who won’t be around as Christ rules the world as the “King of kings, and Lord of lords” – Revelation 19:16.)

Haley: Israel is not going away

March 6, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, on Monday addressed the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington.

‘When I come to AIPAC I am with friends. I remember last year when we had the vote on America’s opposition to the Castro regime in Cuba. The vote went against us, 191-2. The only ‘no’ votes? You guessed it. The United States and Israel. But I always say that quality is better than quantity,’ said Haley.

She recalled how President Donald Trump, shortly after being elected, contacted her and asked her to serve as the American ambassador at the UN.

‘I told the president I won’t be a wallflower or a talking head. I have to be able to say what I think. Without any hesitation, President Trump said, ‘Nikki, that’s exactly why I want you to do this.’’

‘The top Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, recently had some advice for me. He told me to shut up. Mr. Erekat, I will always be respectful, but I will never shut up,’ stressed Haley.

Resolution 2334, which condemned Israeli construction in Judea and Samaria and which the Obama administration permitted to pass in its final days was ‘a shameful day for America. On my first day, I assured the Israeli Ambassador [Danny Danon] that on my watch, that would never happen again. And I’m proud to say it has not happened again.’…”  (Amen Ambassador Haley, Israel will always be a Jewish state. Though Satan has always stood against Israel — I Chronicles 21:1 – Yahweh God will “…send a fire against Magog [Russia] and her Arabic allies –Daniel 11:40; Isaiah 17:1; Ezekiel 38:5-7 and Psalms 83:5-7. In the heat of the battle to destroy Israel – Psalms 83:4 – the enemies of God will be crushed as Jesus, the Son of God sets up His kingdom. Isaiah 59:20 states: “…the Redeemer shall come to Zion [Jerusalem], sent by His Father – Psalms 2:6 – to reign over the world from Jerusalem forever – Luke 1:32 – 33.)

‘Jerusalem is not holy to Muslims, enough with this lie!’

March 16, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “Zionist Organization of America President Morton Klein spoke on Thursday night at the National Council of Young Israel’s annual dinner, debunking the myth that Jerusalem is holy to Muslims.

‘Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel, under King David 3,000 years ago,’ Klein said. ‘It was never, ever, the capital of any other nation except Israel. When the Arabs conquered Palestine in 716, they made Ramla their capital, not Jerusalem.’

‘The Jewish holy books mention Jerusalem 700 times. it is never, ever mentioned in the Quran. Even about Mohammed allegedly going from Jerusalem to heaven, in the Quran…this is a dream. He simply has a dream, and it says he went ‘from the farthest place to heaven.’… And the nearest place, in the Quran, is Palestine. So clearly, it was not from Jerusalem.’

Klein also noted that the Arabs, historically, have not cared to invest in Jerusalem.

‘When the Arabs controlled Jerusalem from 1948-1967, when Jordan controlled it, they built everything of importance in Amman, not in Jerusalem,’ he said. ‘They allowed it to be a slum. There was no water, no electricity, no plumbing there. They destroyed the 58 synagogues in eastern Jerusalem.’…”  (God’s Holy Word dogmatically states that Jerusalem was given to God’s chosen people, the Jews, and the place where our Christ, the second member of the Holy Trinity will reign forever upon His return – Matthew 6:10; Psalm 2:6; Isaiah 59:20; Zechariah 2:10, 4:14; Luke 1:32, 33. )
