NEWS FROM ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST

Iran’s General Salami Says Destroying Israel ‘Achievable Goal’

October 1, 2019 — Breitbart.com reports: “Iran’s top Revolutionary Guards commander, Major General Hossein Salami, warned on Monday that destroying arch-enemy Israel was an ‘achievable goal’.

‘This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer … a dream (but) it is an achievable goal,’ he said, quoted by the Guards’ Sepah news site.

Four decades on from Iran’s Islamic revolution, ‘we have managed to obtain the capacity to destroy the imposter Zionist regime’, he said.

Salami’s comments, while not unusual for Iranian officials, come amid particularly heightened international tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and a series of incidents that have raised fears of a confrontation between Tehran and its other main regional rival, Riyadh…”  (General Salami is full of baloney.  Almighty God has stated: “…I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off” – Isaiah 56:5.  Everlasting means everlasting.  God promised to Abraham in Genesis 22:17: “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the starts of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore…”    “And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt; To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.  Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.  Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever” – Deuteronomy 4:37 – 40.  See the next two reports.)

Iran’s General Salami Warns U.S. the Islamic Republic Is ‘Invincible’

October 6, 2019 — Breitbart.com reports: “Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), warned Iran is ‘invincible’ on the battlefield, building on his previous claims of special ‘hidden’ military powers of destruction.

The general made his remarks Friday while addressing a group media on the sidelines of a ‘martyr’s’ memorial event, the Tehran Times reported. He said:

We have become powerful, because we have been invincible and, at the same time our enemies have been weakened and their options have become really weak.

It is evident that the enemy no longer has the capability; once it wanted to act and force us to react, but today, the enemy is not even capable of reacting to our capabilities and this reality is seen today on the battlefields.

Salami then went on to outline what he claimed was Iran’s rising military sophistication, saying, ‘The (military) achievements are at a level that we do not announce them to the media but (generally speaking,) we are progressing on a daily basis in all areas…”

‘Iran seeking to attack Israel with precision-guided missiles’

October 29, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday accused Iran of wanting to strike Israel with precision-guided missiles from Yemen.

Speaking during a meeting with US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Jerusalem, Netanyahu called for ‘a lot more’ sanctions against Iran.

‘First, I want to congratulate President Trump, the Armed Forces of the United States and the American people for the successful action against [ISIS leader] Baghdadi, and it’s good that this murderer has met his fate,’ Netanyahu said.

‘We do know that we still have an ongoing battle against terrorism, both of the extremist Sunnis led by Daesh (the Arabic name for ISIS -ed.), but also the extremist Shiites led by Iran, that is making a plunge for everything and everywhere in the Middle East,’ he added.

‘Iran is seeking to develop now precision-guided munitions, missiles that can hit any target in the Middle East with a circumference of five to ten meters. They are developing this in Iran. They want to place them in Iraq and in Syria, and to convert Lebanon’s arsenal of 130,000 statistical rockets to precision-guided munitions. They seek also to develop that, and have already begun to put that in Yemen, with the goal of reaching Israel from there too,’ warned the Prime Minister…”

Hamas leader praises ‘heroic’ murder of Israeli teen

October 2, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh sent Israel a warning in light of the serious injury to the terrorist who murdered Rina Shnerb, sustained while he was interrogated by Israeli security forces.

Israel will pay a price for the ‘crimes’ it commits against Palestinian security prisoners, said Haniyeh as he praised of the ‘heroic’ attack carried out by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization.

Haniyeh added that the Palestinian ‘resistance organizations’ will not renounce their commitment to the prisoners and will not leave them alone in dealing with the ‘occupation.’…” (Benjamin Netanyahu has stated: “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence.  If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.”  In the summer of 2000, President Bill Clinton held a summit at Camp David with Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat – it failed.  According to a Newsweek article on June 26, 2001: “Nearly a year after he failed to achieve a deal at Camp David, former president Bill Clinton gave vent to his frustrations this week over the collapse of peace in the Mideast. And Clinton directed his ire at one man: Yasir Arafat. On Tuesday night, Clinton told guests at a party at the Manhattan apartment of former U.N. ambassador Richard Holbrooke and his wife, writer Kati Marton, that Arafat called to bid him farewell three days before he left office. “You are a great man,” Arafat said. “The **** I am,” Clinton said he responded. “I’m a colossal failure, and you made me one.”  Clinton said he told Arafat that by turning down the best peace deal he was ever going to get-the one proffered by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and brokered by Clinton last July-the Palestinian leader was only guaranteeing the election of the hawkish Ariel Sharon, the current Israeli leader. But Arafat didn’t listen.”  See the next two reports.)

PA to Europe: Examine your relations with Israel

October 30, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) deputy cabinet leader and ‘information minister’, is calling on European countries to defend international legitimacy, save the peace process and support the ‘two-state solution’ through recognition of the state of Palestine, whose capital is eastern al-Quds (Jerusalem -ed.).

Speaking at the opening of the Arab-European Summit in Greece on Tuesday, Abu Rudeineh said that Europe could play an influential role and pressure Israel to obey the legitimacy and international law and honor the agreements signed with the Palestinians under international patronage.

He noted that European countries could reexamine cooperation agreements with Israel as a means of pressuring it to repeal its ‘racist’ and ‘apartheid’ laws and adhere to principles of human rights.

Abu Rudeineh further said that the ‘two-state solution’ is in danger because of the continued Israeli policy that negates legitimacy and international law and its denial of agreements signed with the Palestinian Authority since the 1993 Oslo Accords…”

PA wipes peace agreements from schoolbooks, encourages incitement and intolerance

October 7, 2019 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “The Palestinian Authority has removed any mention of past agreements with Israel from their school textbooks, with the exception of the Oslo Accords, which are mentioned in far less detail than in previous editions of the schoolbooks, according to a new report by Yedioth Aharonot.

The new curriculum, which has been progressively implemented throughout the past three years, and the textbooks in particular, are studied between 1st and 12th grades in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, east Jerusalem and refugee camps. They, unlike their previous editions, make no mention of the historical Jewish presence in Israel, and speak about every quarter in Jerusalem’s Old City – except the Jewish Quarter.

The portions of the textbooks that do mention the Oslo Accords portray Israel in a negative light, claiming that ‘the Zionist occupation was forced to recognize the PLO after the First Intifada in 1987.’

In addition, the old textbooks contained the full contents of the letter written in 1993 by then-PA chairman Yasser Arafat to then-Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, which detailed the values of peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

The new textbooks, however, censor the part in which Arafat writes that the declaration of principles ‘is the beginning of an era of coexistence in peace without violence and any action that may risk the peace.’

The few times in which Israel is mentioned throughout the rest of the textbooks are in parentheses, a habit typically taken on to claim the illegitimacy of the state by extremist organizations such as Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, according to Mako…

Netanyahu: Israel must be ready to act alone

October 10, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Prime Minister and Defense Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke this morning at the memorial service for the soldiers killed in the Yom Kippur War, at the Herzl Memorial Hall in Jerusalem, and addressed the Iranian security challenge to the State of Israel.

‘The current focus of aggression in the Middle East is the Iranian regime in Tehran. Iran is striving to tighten its grip on Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and the Gaza Strip. It is constantly arming its metastases with dangerous weapons and is attacking freedom of navigation in international shipping routes. It downed a big U.S. UAV, it launched a crude and unprecedented attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil fields, it repeatedly exceeds its own arrogance,’ Netanyahu said…

‘We don’t aspire to be ‘a people who dwells alone,’ but that’s how we were forced to stand at the beginning of the Yom Kippur War – that only nearing the end of which did American aid arrive. As in 1973, we still greatly appreciate U.S. support, which has increased greatly in recent years, as well as the tremendous economic pressure the U.S. is exerting on Iran,’ Netanyahu noted.

‘However, we always remember and apply the basic rule that guides us: Israel will defend itself, on its own, in the face of every threat…”  (Israel is here forever under the eternal rule of Christ in the New Jerusalem.  All Christians join with Israel for this joyous 1,000 years – “…I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” – Revelation 21:2 – 4.  See the next report.)

PM: ‘To secure Jewish future – we must secure Jewish State’

October 29, 2019 — Israel National News reports: “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed Jewish leaders from around the world attending the Jewish Agency Board of Governors.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister discussed the rising threat of anti-Semitism and said that in his capacity as Diaspora Affairs Minister, that ministry will transfer budget for use in protecting Jewish communities around the world. Prime Minister Netanyahu said: ‘If we want to secure the Jewish future, we must secure the future of the Jewish State. The Jewish State has responsibility for Jewish communities around the world. I intend to pass budget from the (Ministry of Diaspora Affairs) to protect the Jewish community from the violent scourge of anti-Semitism.’

The Prime Minister also addressed the Iranian threat, saying: ‘We are faced with an evil empire. It’s called Iran. Iran seeks to destroy Israel. It works for this incessantly. To ward off this danger we have to do two things. First, we must unite. Because in the face of danger we unite. This is not spin. This is a real thing that is happening as the power balance in the Middle East changes. We must be strong. And to be strong, we have to be united as a people. United in spirit. United in our quest to secure the future of the Jewish State, of the Jewish People.’…”
