NEWS FROM ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST

PA, Jordan Ink Deal to ‘Defend’ Jerusalem Against ‘Judaization’

Israel National News reports: “Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmud Abbas signed an agreement confirming their ‘common goal to defending’ Jerusalem and their opposition to efforts to ‘Judaize’ the eternal capital of Israel.

Palestinian Authority Religious Affairs Minister Mahmoud al-Habash said the agreement confirmed Jordan’s role as protector of the city’s holy sites and ‘Palestinian sovereignty over all of Palestine, including its capital East Jerusalem,’ the Ma’an news agency reported.

A statement by the palace said the deal confirms Jordan’s historic role as custodian of Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem, particularly the Temple Mount, and outlines coordination between the two sides.

‘In this historic agreement, Abbas reiterated that the king is the custodian of holy sites in Jerusalem and that he has the right to exert all legal efforts to preserve them, especially Al-Aqsa mosque,’ the statement said, according to AFP.

‘It is also emphasizing the historical principles agreed by Jordan and Palestine to exert joint efforts to protect the city and holy sites from Israeli judaization attempts.’…” (930 times God’s Word states that Jerusalem belongs to God’s chosen people, the Jews. This is where our Christ rules and reigns when He returns to set up His kingdom – Psalm 2:6; Isaiah 59:20; Zechariah 2:10; Luke 1:31 – 32. Armageddon occurs when Jerusalem is divided between the Jews and Arabs — Joel 3:2. See the next report.)

Abbas accuses Israel of ‘destructive’ Jerusalem plan

The Jerusalem Post reports: “Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of carrying out a ‘destructive’ plan against Jerusalem and urged the Arab and Islamic countries to work toward preventing it from implementing its scheme.Abbas’s accusation came during a speech he delivered at the Arab summit in Doha, Qatar.

‘The Israeli occupation is systematically and continuously working toward judaizing east Jerusalem,’ Abbas told the Arab heads of state.

He said that Israel was also seeking to change the character of the city, expel its Arab residents and assault Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Abbas urged the Arabs and Muslims to go to the United Nations and other international organizations to stop Israel from pursuing its ‘destructive scheme.’…”

Iranian Envoy Calls Israel Main Source of Regional Insecurity

The Fars News Agency reports: “Iran’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Gholam Hossein Dehqani described Israel and its nuclear threats as the root causes of insecurities in the Middle East region.

Dehqani made the remarks in a meeting of UN Disarmament Commission (UNDC) in New York.

He pointed to Iran’s proposal for a Middle East free from nuclear arms, and said, ‘The Israeli regime hampers efforts to cleanse the entire region of all nuclear weapons.’

Dehqani noted that Iran calls for implementation of all UN amendments for freeing the Middle East and the world from nuclear arms.

The Israeli regime is widely believed to be the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East. The regime reportedly maintains between 200 and 400 atomic warheads.

Moreover, the Israel has never allowed any international inspection of its nuclear facilities and has refused to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). It has also refused to join the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which limits members to civilian uses of the nuclear technology…” (The above headline is an insane joke. Both Ahmadinejad and Imam Khomeini state that their messiah Mahdi will only return when the two of them have liquidated the Jewish race. Thus how is it intelligently possible that Israel is the main source of regional insecurity? These two butchers of Iran are attempting to fulfill Psalm 83:4: “Come and let us cast Israel off from being a nation that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.“)

Iran will destroy Israeli cities if attacked: Khamenei

Reuters reports: “Iran’s most powerful authority said the Islamic Republic would destroy the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa if Israel launched a military attack against it.

‘At times the officials of the Zionist regime (Israel) threaten to launch a military invasion but they themselves know that if they make the slightest mistake the Islamic Republic will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground,’ Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said during an address, broadcast live on state television…” (Not so fast Khamenei. God says in Isaiah 56:5 “I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name…” Our Lord Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, is going to come and set up His eternal kingdom in Jerusalem and rule over the house of Israel forever. If this is God’s Word and it is, there must be cities in existence to fulfill during Christ’s return on the earth – Luke 1:32, 33.)

‘Muslim Brotherhood sowing subversion in Gulf States’

The Jerusalem Post reports: “Sunni Muslim-ruled Gulf Arab states are often wary of subversion from their powerful Shi’ite neighbor Iran, but Dubai’s veteran police chief reserves most of his wrath for the ‘dictators’ of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Dhahi Khalfan’s suspicions focus mostly on the Egyptian branch of the Sunni Islamist organization, propelled to power in the most populous Arab country in elections since the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak in a popular uprising in 2011.

‘The Brotherhood as a ruling party in Egypt has no right to interfere with other countries. They are no longer a political party and should respect the independence of other countries,’ Khalfan told Reuters in an interview.

He reiterated charges that Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood was linked to an alleged plot to topple the UAE government, saying the group’s ultimate goal was Islamist rule in all Gulf states.

Khalfan, who has often railed against the Brotherhood on his Twitter account, is one of only a few UAE officials to speak publicly about politics.

While he says his tweets are personal views, diplomats say they reflect concerns among the UAE ruling elite about the regional popularity of Islamists and the possibility that the West will engage with them.

Khalfan complained that the West ‘sympathies, adopts and supports’ the Brotherhood, saying he did not understand why…” (This report pictures a battle between Sunnis and Shiites, two differing denominations within Islam. How can they slaughter one another when they both have the same god and blow up one another and one another’s mosques consecrated to Allah? How different is Christianity – “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” – John 13:35, and “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” – I John 3:16.)
